Beautiful and confident, Zoe Mitchell was on the verge of a successful modelling career – until, one night, someone strangled and mutilated the young woman in her bed.
During the early days of their investigation, Inspector Lawrence Forrester and his partner Rebecca Palmer uncover a string of disloyalties and a family divided by betrayal and cruelty. As more facts filter in, it seems likely that Zoe’s killer is chillingly close to home.
Then, as events take a startling turn, Rebecca finds herself more involved than she could ever have imagined.

Mehso-so

Thinking about how this is the first in the series characters were pretty okay: I especially loved a medical examiner who was a bit peculiar.

This wasn't really thrilling but a solid crime mystery.

I think this had a good solid ground for the story but execution made this slightly dry: if surrounding & atmosphere, maybe even characters had been a bit more fleshed out this propably would have been amazing.
