September was a month in which I read 4 DCI Logan books by JD Kirk. Love this series so really nominating the series for #12booksof2024 in September, impossible to decide between them. All great books. If you haven‘t read this series yet I strongly recommend it.

Also a notable mention for the last book in the Hedgehog Hollow series by Jessica Redland (A Wedding at Hedgehog Hollow). Loved her romance books.

DC Tyler Neish is so hilarious! He‘s afraid of dogs, gets car sick all the time, and a lot of times is “a right pain in the arse.” But he‘s a good guy, a good detective and a good husband. The rest of the team are great, as well, each in their own way. #SeriesLove2023 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView

Andrew65 Tyler is definitely a key character in the series. A gift that keeps giving. Well done 👏👏👏 1y
TheSpineView Tyler is one of my favorite characters in this series. 1y
deeannloso @TheSpineView Mine too! He‘s hilarious! 1y

TheSpineView Be sure you read the four books about Bob Hoon before you get to far in this series. It will help you better understand the later books. The first one, Northwind, is before Colder Than the Grave. Then the 2nd, Southpaw, read after Come hell or High Water., etc. 1y
deeannloso @TheSpineView Too late. I‘ll go back and read them when I‘m done. I didn‘t realize there was a Bob Hoon series. 😊 He‘s quite a funny character as well. 1y
TheSpineView @deeannloso Yes, he is. 1y

“When a badly burned body is found near the remote Ardnamurchan Lighthouse on the west coast of Scotland, it feels like just another day on the job for DCI Logan and his team. But the victim‘s list of enemies is far longer than Jack was prepared for. With political scandal brewing, conspiracy theories running wild, and a team member stuck inside a giant road safety squirrel costume, DCI Logan‘s latest case might just be his most bizarre to date.”

Book 13 of the DCI Jack Logan crime thriller series is just as good as book. You could say it is better because by this book you have become so involved in the lives of the characters they feel like long time friends. If crime fiction is your thing and you haven't read this series, I highly recommend you read this one. Be sure to start with book one. 5⭐️ #Scarathlon2022 @StayCurious #TeamMonsterMash
