Nina has spent the years after a devastating breakup writing emails on behalf of celebrities instead of writing TV scripts. But when celebrity, Ari Fox, wants Nina to get to know her to write emails that sound more like Ari, Nina's life begins to expand from reuniting with her friends to a growing romance with Ari.
Nina's lack of confidence and self negativity was so painful in a terribly relatable way.
Rainy holiday? Not a problem when you have a book to read.
I don‘t typically read romance but this was exactly the sort of sweet, sexy, Sapphic brain candy I needed. A touch of Notting Hill without the insta-love and a wonderfully drawn friend group and badass Aunt Lorna, this just made me smile. 👍🏼
This may be wishful thinking on my part... but here's my guess for the second March #Aardvark clue. I've been into romance books generally lately, but sapphic romance specifically keeps jumping out at me for some reason 🤷🏽♀️
What do you think? Any other guesses?
Amy Spalding writes a romantic, yet cautionary tale of just how impacting the affects of a toxic relationship can truly be. This slower paced queer romance was made for anyone who has suffered a life altering break up and may have not made it to the other side, or worst yet - for those close to someone who has yet to realize their friend/sibling/parent may be slowly losing themselves in a toxic relationship.
