Spending the holiday season back in Dream Harbor was a delight! I love a second chance romance and this one did not disappoint! It has everything, angsty hero regretting past mistakes, strong woman who can take care of herself, some great groveling, and steamy reconciliation. And always fun to see past series characters tie the knot. Great fun! This was released September 16, highly recommend! #netgalleygroup @AllDebooks

AllDebooks Now I want gingerbread 😫 3d

I did manage to finish my #NetgalleyGroup Readathon book just took me forever to write about it. It was exactly what I needed.

Great fall vibes and a fun setting, but I wanted a little more depth to the story. For me, it relied a bit too much on steam and not enough character development. I did like the setting and the friends that are family. This is been out for nearly a month and if you are looking for a pumpkin flavored, writer meets billionaire insta-love romance, this may be the one for you. 3rd #ARC down! #NGGReadathon #netgalleygroup @AllDebooks

Bookwormjillk I started a good one last night. It‘s about women and community and small farms. 1mo

Librarybelle I‘ve yet to start a title for this weekend, but to respond to other questions: I read a mix of new and established authors. If it‘s an author I like, and I‘m invited to pre-approved to read the title, I grab it. If it‘s a new author but the story sounds good, and perhaps it has a good blurb featuring another author liking the book, I‘ll try it. Kind of like bookstore shopping too! 1mo
Deblovestoread Hey Deb! You can remove me from the tag list. Everything is a bit overwhelming right now so I‘m taking a break from challenges etc. Thank you! 1mo
Bookish_Thoughts Recommend-Murder in Miniature. It‘s the second book in the series, but you don‘t need to read the first to enjoy the second. Carlene O‘Connor Irish Village mysteries, Kate Khavari‘s Saffron Everleigh historical mysteries, Jacqueline Frost‘s Christmas Tree Farm mysteries, Amanda Flower‘s Amish Candy Shop series, Colleen Cambridge‘s Phyllida Bright series (Phyllida is Agatha Christie‘s housekeeper with her own secrets to keep). (edited) 1mo
Bookish_Thoughts As the ARC recs shows, I read mysteries. 🤣 I also read new and established authors and have discovered new favorites that way. Back to the recommend list-I‘ve read most, if not all, of the ARCs for the listed series, and then bought/pre-order the physical books. 1mo
DGRachel When it comes to any book, ARC or already published - new or established author, I‘ll read it when pre approved if it sounds good. I don‘t request books because I (silly me) rejections feel personal and I‘d rather wait for publication than be told no. 😅 As for genre - I tend to specialize in spurts, but my fallback/old standby is mystery/thrillers. I just finished the tagged, and I will read anything Morgyn writes. It was phenomenal. 1mo
JoyBlue One of my favorite ARCs ever was The Collected Regrets of Clover [2023], which was a fiction debut.

My favorite genre is mystery.

I request a mix of established and new authors. It has paid off handsomely! I have picked up quite a few new or new-to-me authors by being adventurous in my requests, including things I never would have tried on my own!

[This weekend, I finished A Mannequin for Christmas ARC and started The Killing Stones ARC.]

Justmissc87 I am currently reading Ladies in Hating ARC and am really enjoying it. 1mo

This cozy romance feels like a Hallmark movie, a warm sweater, and a pumpkin spiced latte all rolled into one. It gave me all the fall feels even though it is 91 degrees here in TX. I really enjoyed it and recommend you give it a try and cuddle into this warm hug of a book. Released on Sept 8, thanks to #netgalley for the #ARC #netgalleygroup #NGGReadathon @AllDebooks

AllDebooks I'm concentrating on reviews this month. If I have time, I may start the Vivienne Westwood biography. 1mo
sebrittainclark I'm behind on reviews, so I want to catch up. 1mo

rubyslippersreads Like the rest of you, I need to catch up on reviews. 1mo
ShananigansReads I‘m just behind on reading. The library holds are coming in fast and furious. New releases I‘ve been waiting for are dropping left and right and I haven‘t touched an ARC in way too long. 1mo
DGRachel I do my reviews as I finish the books, so like @ShananigansReads I‘m just behind on the actual reading. I started the month with a plan to keep up with new due dates and then decided I was tired of stress-reading. I started an ARC that publishes next March and took a leisurely 11 days to read it. It was glorious and I missed the pub date for 2 more books. My goal for the weekend is to start another ARC. Maybe. 🤔 1mo
mcipher I‘m so behind on reviews! Also behind on books (library holds and new shiny books keep distracting me) but I keep letting the reviews stack up because it‘s not as fun as reading 😝 1mo
AllDebooks @sebrittainclark @rubyslippersreads @ShananigansReads @DGRachel @mcipher Do you write reviews for post publication books? I've missed the pub. deadline by months on some of my #arcs. It seems polite to still write a review, but is this still of any value to the author/publishers? 1mo
DGRachel I write them when I finish even if I‘ve missed the pub date if for no other reason than I don‘t want to my % worse than it already is. Plus. I think reviews are always helpful, even if the publisher doesn‘t go back. I copy my review in NetGalley and The StoryGraph and I review everything I read so it‘s just as easy to post in both places as one. 1mo
Julsmarshall I do reviews right after I finish, even if it is late, like @DGRachel . I‘m in the middle of 2 ARCs, one printed, one in netgalley. I‘m going to try to finish both of those and maybe one more. I am going to try to let other things go this weekend and read, read, read. I‘ve been working a lot and haven‘t had a reading weekend in awhile 😍 Thanks for the push, @AllDebooks ! 1mo
ShananigansReads @AllDebooks I still write them after party because it‘s the only way I remember anything that happened in the book, partly because I said I would when I signed up. 1mo
sebrittainclark @AllDebooks I've written reviews over a year after the book published 🙈. I figure better late than never. 1mo
Bookish_Thoughts I‘m going to try read both an upcoming ARC and a past pub date ARC. 1mo
AllDebooks @DGRachel @Julsmarshall @shenaniganreads @sebrittainclark thanks for the feedback. I'm going to write reviews for all of my loans. I'll post on amazon, too, to make amends for my tardiness. 😅 1mo
mcipher @AllDebooks I do, and I post them to Amazon/b&n because I‘m assuming it still helps the author some 🤷‍♀️ 1mo
Librarybelle I like the catching up on reviews idea! I‘ll concentrate on that this weekend as well and maybe finish one of the “in progress” books I have. 1mo
Zuhkeeyah I finished two ARCs in the last couple weeks and wrote my reviews on Thursday. I‘m feeling very accomplished so I might not tackle anymore this weekend. 1mo
rubyslippersreads @AllDebooks I work backwards and write a review for the most-recently read books. That‘s about the best I can do. 😏 1mo
AllDebooks @rubyslippersreads that makes sense. It's a good tip. Thanks. 🙂 1mo
AllDebooks @Zuhkeeyah oh well done! 🙂 1mo
AllDebooks @Bookish_Thoughts good luck. Enjoy. 📚🙂📚 1mo
AllDebooks @Librarybelle I hope it's a productive weekend. 🙂 1mo
Justmissc87 I just started on NetGalley this month. I‘ve got some pretty good reads going right now. I‘ve been trying to review as soon as I finish the book. So far I‘ve only finished one book. I‘m trying to pace myself. Plus, I still have a huge fall TBR. 1mo
