Finished my commute book in record time because I didn't strictly listen on my commute. I also managed to hit the half way point in Orphan's Tales

Goal this week is to work on a commute book, catch up with GoTChapterADay and work deeper into Orphan's Tales

This was fun and quick even though the romance felt a little tacked on. Jillian is forced to deal with her family and it's baggage and find her place if she walks away from the expectations heaped on her. I think the real gem in the story was Anika's journey of self discovery.

Fun, light read with a little rom com on the side. I think it needed a little more action or suspense and the humor turned up a notch, but it was enjoyable and I would read another book of this type from this author.

Is it a mystery? Romance? Family dramedy? I think it wanted to be too many things. Low pick.

A fast and fun read, just want I needed to help decompress!

A family of con artists. One member returns from prison and wants the family to stop grifting. The family has other ideas.

Bit Knives Out/Glass Onion, but no Ocean's Eight.

It was rather low stakes and more focused on family than actual cons, with a side of insta-romance.

This was on NetGalley as a romance, and there‘s a little bit of romance, but mostly it‘s about the Moorewood family drama and Jillian trying to find herself.

Started this today thinking it was a romance (which there still may be some) but really it‘s about a family of con artists and I‘m here for it. It‘s very entertaining so far.

The family that steals together, stays together. Part heist, part mystery, part romance, ALL family drama. This fresh, fun, mystery was a perfect escape. Releasing April 2023, fans of Ocean‘s Eleven and Knives Out will love this one!
