2-27-24: My 4th book of 2024! I really didn‘t care for this. The writing felt juvenile for some reason. Charlie hates his life and is given a chance to change it in a very drastic way. Then along comes Aude who helps to make his life better than he could have imagined. They must jump over some hurdles to make it work but in the end they find the right balance. It was very predictable and a little boring because of the predictability.⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣4️⃣

This was a good quick read. I enjoyed the underlying story of the main characters and how they found each other, but it felt a bit repetitive of phrases at times.

My two additional challenges this year. This month is my moms pick for #friendspickforme and of course it‘s Danielle Steel. I went for the dystopian scratch off for he month and got the Grace Year, which I have heard great things about.

Without a Trace by Daniel Steel. A life that has a monetary value and a tangible substance, or a life that you value, filled with meaning and substancial purpose? Worth, or worthwhile. The opportunity to walk away, leave it all behind, and start over, or recognizing the need to go back in order to move forward and start over. Choices, decisions. What would you choose? I'm really surprised at some of the low ⭐️ reviews (cont in comments)...

TheHeartlandBookFairy that this book received. It kept me coming back, kept me on the edge of my seat, had a character everyone will love to hate, and a few everyone will love. I enjoyed this story...👍 1y
