Seven friends, one eccentric billionaire, an all-expenses paid reunion on a private island with one catch: no phones, tablets or laptops allowed. It'll be a weekend to remember--for those who make it out alive. Ryan Cloverhill, founder and CEO of the world's most popular social media platform, invites his six best college buddies to his home on his private island near Puget Sound. Day One offers amazing food, many drinks, lots of laughter, and a sunset cruise around the island aboard their host's custom Van Dutch 55. Just what the doctor ordered. Day Two, however, takes a bewildering turn when the six hungover guests wake up to find that their host has disappeared, along with all connection to the mainland. A touchscreen tablet of unknown make awaits them, blatantly defying the rules of the weekend with its on-screen challenge: Unlock Me! The passcode to the tablet is hidden somewhere in the group's shared history. But what seems at first like just another silly game turns deadly serious when the group discovers what unlocking the tablet really means. Is it the key to their futures, a Pandora's box none of them will ever be able to close, or both? Only one thing is clear: their old friend Ryan has something unthinkable planned. Now it's up to the six of them to stop him. And when this weekend is over, the world will never be the same.

Bailedbailed

Got a third of the way though this novel because I was intrigued by the plot. But I just couldn‘t go any further. The writing is awful and as the story unfolded the so called plot was too.

Cathythoughts Oh no !!! 🙈 2y

Mehso-so

Book 60📚 2.9⭐️

I won‘t lie, the “reason” behind all the hoopla I don‘t really get😂 I wish there was more explanation on WHY it is “bad”. I need more motive and information from Ryan!

But I did like Perry, I think he was my fave😭

So I really tried to get through this but it got so messy and confusing I couldn't keep up. It's a bail for me. Maybe when I have more energy I'll try it again but I, too, am all #hailthebail this year because I have a lot of tbr's and not enough time to finish books due to feeling obligated to finish or guilty about bailing. Big fat DNF

IndianBookworm 'Too many books, too little time.' Helps me overcome my guilt of DNFing my book.😁 2y

#PublishesTomorrow #ARC #NetGalley I‘m sorry but at 45% I‘ve had enough 🤪 This book about a tech billionaire who gathers his college friends for a reunion on his private island started out great but this is the year I #HailTheBail and stop wasting my time on books that aren‘t working for me. This became wayyyyy to convoluted and went wayyyyyt off the rails #NoThanks

Centique All hail the bail! It‘s the best way to go 💕 2y
Cinfhen #PREACH 🙌🏻 @Centique xxxx 2y
Bookwormjillk I was wondering if this was Sean Doolittle of the Washington Nationals (relief pitcher and bookworm.) Looks like it‘s not so I‘ll skip. 2y

Cinfhen I totally believe that @Susanita !!!! 2y
kezzlou85 I need to bail on more if they're not pulling me in. I always feel bad with review ones but life's too short to read books I don't enjoy. 2y
Cinfhen I also feel bad about bailing on review books but I think bailing can be considered part of the review process 🤣😅😂 2y
