I love the cover on the novel Kismat Connection by the author Ananya Devarajan. I love the illustration and really love the girls outfit it's cute. The cover is what pulled me in. I honestly didn't really enjoy this story it was not my "cup of tea." Nothing against the author it was just not for me personally. If you love romance novels I do recommend it.

I liked the concept more than the actual book, which is disappointing because I was really looking forward to it. I didn't really care for the characters and actually found them a little annoying. It wasn't all bad, though. I loved the family connection, and there were a few really cute moments. But, I had to force myself to finish the book.

Kismat Connection was a short and sweet young adult contemporary novel. Following Madhuri, a girl unfortunately destined to marry her first love and Arjun, a boy hopelessly in love with his best friend Madhuri, it makes for a cute fake dating-to-actually dating love story.

The plot was simple and cute; a simple fake dating-to-lovers story with Indian representation and culture majorly intertwined into the story. My main and possibly only complai

Im not the target audience for this one, as my biggest complaint is that it was younger YA and not as captivating to me. But it‘s a cute romance with highlights on Indian culture. I enjoyed to dual POV format and thought a lot of it was cute, just not a favorite. What new releases have you read lately?

This was a cute concept and fun how the two became a couple. I loved learning about the culture. I enjoyed the closeness of the family and how Madhuri‘s family consider Arjun part of their family always. I hate that Madhuri felt that she could not be herself because other teenagers including her ex friends made fun of her because of her culture. But I like the fact that she was able to overcome that and be herself and embrace her culture.

This was a fun debut read. A friend to lovers trope for the YA reader. The characters were relatable and likable and I loved the concept of freewill and how it's applied to this culturally diverse story.
