And catching up from #FrostyTheSnowman yesterday, I had to go with the artist link. Whenever I passed a blank tape to my best friend at secondary school (not that we ever did that 🤫), her (older and much cooler) sister would make sure the B-side was filled with something credible, usually the Cocteau Twins! I loved it! I got a copy of the 4AD (their record label) story a couple of yrs back - needless to say, tbr! #winterwonderland

Cinfhen I‘m loving this post and photo❤️mixed tapes was all I lived for 6y

GypsyKat I was actually at Target last night and saw actual cassette tapes for sale! I was shocked and really excited that they might be making a comeback! 6y
rockpools @GypsyKat There have been more around recently... and Cassette Store Day has gone international (I just assumed it was a UK thing!) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassette_Store_Day 6y
TrishB Love mixed tapes....and the Cocteau Twins - hubby has this book 👍🏻 6y
GypsyKat @RachelO I didn‘t even know this was a thing. That‘s so awesome! I‘ve been looking in vain for several years for a cassette player/radio combo similar to one I had in the 1980‘s. Very occasionally I fine one similar on EBay, but usually they don‘t work. Someday I‘ll find one. In the meantime, I still have my Walkman from when I was a teenager. ❤️ 6y

I‘ve been reading this book for a few months now, and am still only halfway through, but I am enjoying it so much! It requires my large outdoor table for note taking, googling, and beverages. Also, I finished a wonderful YA book this morning. A solid 💛💛💛💛💛 for The Astonishing Color of After.

BarbaraTheBibliophage Hey there! Saw your name in an old conversation here and just wanted to stop over and say hi. Miss you! ♥️ 6y
BookBabe Hi Georgia, I hope you‘re doing great! Miss you ❤️ 3y

This one is for my fellow 80‘s music fans! 4AD is the record label best known for Cocteau Twins, early Bauhaus, This Mortal Coil, et al. Much like certain book publishers, once you got one 4AD pressing, you went crazy and got as many as you could! I have quite the collection myself, but never enough. I am taking copious notes and making playlists. 600+ pages of musical memories and behind-the-scenes info. 🎶⚜️🖤

TrishB Hubby enjoyed this one 👍🏻 7y
TricksyTails That cider looks yum! 😋 7y
ApoptyGina69 @TricksyTails so totally! Lemongrass and ginger and local NorCal apples. Tastes like a not-too-sweet “healthy” soda. Danger!! 😜 7y
TricksyTails 🤤 Ohhh I am drooling! I‘m going to try to find some! 🤞 7y
Crystalblu One of my favorite ciders!!! 7y

The TBR might be about to explode, yet again, looking at today's pics. Thanks, Litsy!
