First book of #scarathlon finished! This was a short (very short) and sweet YA horror romance with high school drama, zombie cats and closeted lesbians. The goth girl outcast x sassy cheerleader romance was stereotypical and wonderful. I would have loved this SO much when i was a teen and I‘m so happy queer teen girls have books like this now, sweet and exciting and spooky.

A cute sapphic novel between the goth loner chick and peachy clean cheerleader set in the early 2000s, add in a zombie cat and witchcraft what‘s not to love? This was a cute novella, sweet and spooky, I‘ll be reading the rest in the series and also the novels about Babe and Dude. #Septemberromance

This was fun but fairly flawed in that it‘s the first in a series of novellas that could have been edited into a single, more cohesive book. That said, I did enjoy being transported back to 2003 and the angsty teen girlhood - add in a little dabbling in the occult, a possessed zombie cat called Babylove & a surprising amount of cheese

Soft pick because it was a silly goofy fun time and it was intriguing enough that I‘ll probably buy the sequels.
