Wealth Has Its Dangers. . . There are disadvantages to being an heiress, as Eliza Martin knows well. Fortune hunters corner her, friends become opportunistic, and lately, someone is engineering "accidents" to propel her into marriage. Not one to be bullied, Eliza needs the right man to infiltrate the nest of suitors. . . . . .So Do Certain Men By all measures, Jasper Bond is the wrong man for the job. He can't dance, isn't known for his restraint, and his blood heats whenever he's near his latest employer. Eliza Martin insists no one will believe an intellectual like her could be seduced by a man of action like Jasper, but the combination of his desire and her mystery makes the case one he can't resist. Client satisfaction is a point of pride and it's his pleasure to prove he's just the man she needs after all. . . "Everything romance readers expect and more." --RT Book Reviews

Mehso-so

A bingo!!!
This was presented at a mystery and technically it has one but the main focus is more the romance. As in the mystery is barely mentioned after the first few chapters. It was alright, a quick read.

I have been a little MIA because I‘ve been busy and got behind on everything. I‘m still behind lol. Trying to catch up a little today. I have so many #bookspin updates that I can hopefully catch up on this week.
This morning my niece FaceTimed me and was telling me about a book I got her, that she finished. 😍
I do miss my Litsy people though!

A beautiful day to read outside. It‘s just so refreshing to be outside just at peace with a book. 😊

Thanks for the tag @TiredLibrarian !

1. I think about the only classic I‘ve read is Pride and Prejudice.
2. Les Miserable was a disappointment.
3. Does The Princess Bride count as a classic?

CatLass007 @TiredLibrarian I know, but I can‘t figure out how to untag it and save the likes. I‘m so embarrassed. 6y
SledgeReader @CatLass I hit reply all to an email yesterday that went to admin with the subject line “Equipment Teat”. Embarrassed myself. Embarrassed my colleague. 6y

Pickpick

I tend to find myself reading a lot of romance during the winter, and boy oh boy did this one warm me up! A relationship of convienvence turns into more in this historical romance that is NOT a reimagining of P&P as I had originally thought. Yes, yes, yes! #Romantsy 😘
