I really enjoyed this! It was dark, witty, twisted, and even emotional in parts.
Molly wakes up hungover after her Christmas party, and her world has fallen apart around her. She's been a victim to SA, revenge porn and her best friend is dead. But Molly cannot remember a thing.
I thought this was better than Katy Brent's first novel. 4 ⭐️
So much trauma, but written so well that I don‘t feel gutted by it. Molly doubts herself constantly and yet she‘s really quite brilliant. This was a very intriguing psychological thriller with a great ending. I def thought Posey‘s killer was someone else!!! Book #60 in 2024
Incompetence Porn, but I just couldn't stop listening.
And with incompetent I don't only mean the characters, the audiobook has page turning (Ch 19 or 20) which is definitely not a sound effect à la graphic audio. 🤦🏻♀️
TW: shaming, victim blaming, gross incompetence by all and sundry
This was a fast burn, short read. It doesn't hang about which is good. The plot is interesting and has some clever twists along the way. It also touches on the ways media handles certain things. Mostly the discrepancy of men and women. Would Molly have suffered the way she did had it been the other way round? That aside, the murder was interesting though I did figure out the killer. I liked how the story came together. 4* #Netgalley
