pickI finished reading this one this morning. I prefer John Steinbeck's novels, but this collection of short stories and the novella The Red Pony was good. I love John Steinbeck's writing style, and this one did not disappoint. #ReadingThroughTheYears192021 #1938
pickThis is a nice collection of Steinbeck short stories, and includes the novella, The Red Pony. Most of the short stories are set in his Salinas Valley and are not feel good reading. But it's Steinbeck and you'll be wowed by his writing, vivid characters, and well painted settings.
My favs: The Chrysanthemums and Johnny Bear.
I'm looking forward to reading more Steinbeck. He's one of my favorites.
These are beautiful stories if you enjoy real people with real problems or people just living their life read these short stories.
