Mehso-so

My expectations where quite hight with this one. I'm not frustraded but not excited either. Just a fun read but nothing special. Plot is really interesting and development is curious: there some heavy moments and unexpected situations. I would recommend if you like weird events and cruelty.

shawnmooney Interesting! And the novel sounds like it could well be based on the true story of Nasubi, a Japanese comedian who was basically imprisoned in a room against his will for a reality TV show here. You can listen to the This American Life documentary here: http://m.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/529/human-spectacle 8y
LeahBergen @shawnmooney What?! I have to check that out. Thank you! 8y
shawnmooney 'based on' is too strong - but quite possibly 'inspired by' 8y

Next up: a Japanese horror book that compares itself to the Schwarzenegger flick "The Running Man". Yes, please!

LeahBergen Ooo! I need it! 8y
