“‘I‘m patient‘, he murmured. ‘A man can‘t rush worship.‘ And gods, that was what he was doing. Worshipping. He moved over me like his hands had moved over the piano keys, as if my every sigh or moan of pleasure was a symphony to be composed.”

I love the Crowns of Nyaxia series. I have not found another Romantasy author that I enjoy nearly as much as Carissa Broadbent. The writing is fluid and engaging. I adored Mische in the first two books and I love her even more now. I cannot wait for the next book and the conclusion of her story with Asar. I really hope we get more of Luce, as well. This is also my January #doublespin

By no means was this book bad, but I expected to like it a lot more than I did. I loved Mische in Nightborn and I think my expectations were too high. It is a bit slower paced in the beginning. I wasn‘t as attached to the MMC, but he grew on me! That being said, by 60% things started picking up and the last 1/3 of the book redeemed itself in my eyes. I‘m definitely continuing the series (especially after that cliffhanger!!😱) 3.75/5

Asar is incredible (such a dog dad), might like him over Raihn. I adore Mische so much. Guess happiness does hide darkness. Kinda repetitive. In sense that each level of the Underworld was pretty much the same; slight differences causing these two to know each other more. Would‘ve loved a bit more distinct pieces for each section visited. Nothing too exciting till the final location. Slowwww burn. Despise the sun god. Again; THAT ENDING.

I stocked my kindle for my long flight to visit my mom in AZ so this was one of my #readyourkindle picks. I already loved this series and was curious how much I would like Mische‘s storyline but wow it did not disappoint! After spending a lifetime serving the sun god, she has some life altering decisions to make and to figure out where her alliances in this war lie. I loved the ending and was surprised that there will be a book 4! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
