While well-written, the story drags. I stopped at about 30 percent because I felt like so little was happening. I also didn't connect with the main characters. I didn't care what happened to them and I just didn't find them interesting. Admittedly, I find wealthy people to be pretty boring in general. This novel was probably a lot more nuanced than this review, but I just couldn't stick around to find out. (Bail button not working. 🤔)

I‘m enjoying this one more than I expected!

Sad to see a local used bookstore going out of business but I did get all of these for under $25 at their store closing sale!

I really enjoyed this book. It started a little slow, but by the end I couldn't put it down.

I rarely give up on a book but this book was impossible to get through. I hated the characters. I found it soooo boring. I regret buying it.

College friends hangout at one of their family's summer homes- named Bittersweet. The poor friend finds "shocking" secrets about her friend's family. People die. It took me a while to read bc it was soooooo boorrriinngg.

I really enjoyed this twisty, high Gothic family drama/mystery. Devoured it all in one late night!

Welp #barnesandnoble has sucked me in again! I really need to stay out of bookstores.

Bailing on this one for a THIRD time... On page 30 and I just cannot get into this..I want so bad to like it, but just can't 👎🏼 Maybe I'll try again in another few months...Anybody have books sitting on your shelf like this??

'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' meets 'Special Topics in Calamity Physics.' Smart, juicy, and full of little twists.

Bought a copy of BITTERSWEET today, because my editor always gushes about it. (And obviously she has great taste.)

I've tried to read this book so many times... I just don't care about anyone in it.

It should be right up my alley but it's just boring and bad.

I'm so disappointed.

This one has been sitting on my shelf for a year... I'm giving it a second go...

Soooo good. Just the right amount of dark and twisty, and Mabel is such a great narrator. Brilliant as a summer read.

Is it summer yet? This book is so twisty - I'm almost done with it and I still feel like I have no idea what's going on.
