The layout and idea was different but not effective.
I hate it took me so long to get around to reading this book! I really enjoyed the bookish theme throughout and AJ‘s judgmental personality of others- especially their choice of books 😂. I could visualize the quirkiness of the characters throughout and I loved it!
Went into this with really low expectations but it was actually good and gave a lot of insight to reality tv.
I loved how fast paced this book was. There wasn‘t any guessing because the reader always knew the facts- from all different perspectives. I really liked that it was a good story throughout and didn‘t have any lulls.
A light hearted book that goes pretty in depth with information about genders and sexuality. I enjoyed the end of the book mostly.
Started out okay... then was incredibly boring and pointless... then ended okay. It‘s basically a fictional tale of what we can only assume is based on William and Kate.
Another good book now available as a movie! I enjoyed the historical aspects and the happy ending but it was slow at times.
I really enjoyed this book- and now the movie is available to watch as well! I liked the character development throughout, especially the main character (author).
Starts off good then gets really slow 🐢, then somewhat picks back up towards the end. I liked the location being in Charleston and the landmarks talked about in the book though.
I typically do not like YA books- this was a good one though! It was predictable but I enjoyed how light hearted it was.
Fun mystery for the reader to guess who the killer was throughout but I guessed correctly about 1/4 of the way in. Interesting back stories of each character and it did seem a bit like The Breakfast Club with the couples by the end of the book.
Story of a woman with an eating disorder and all of the underlying issues including bad relationships and feeding her food obsession by working in the restaurant industry. Quick read, boring at times.
Ugh soooo boring! Might be better suited for someone who doesn‘t deal with mental health daily for their job but I just thought it was ignorance wrapped up in hope for comedy.
I enjoyed this book. I liked the break down of various subjects that we are fearful of. #Fearless
Great book for people with anxiety! I read this through the library but I want to buy it and use the discussion questions at the end as journal prompts. 🥇✝️
Fun, short adventure with a clever ending.
Soooooo boring! Common sense stuff about writing on business.
Basically about the importance of living in the moment rather than thinking of everything else going on. Talks about training your brain to concentrate.
Similar to #WhenBreathBecomesAir but not as good. Still somewhat interesting to have the perspective of a brain scientist enduring a stroke.
Took me a while to get through this but I really enjoyed it! Some of the anecdotes are tough to read but it gives a different perspective on fame and what it can do to people psychologically.
Interesting, quick, easy read. Nothing too insightful but makes you think a bit.
I enjoyed this book. I don‘t necessarily agree with all of the perspectives but however people choose to read and believe the Bible is ultimately up to them and I believe, there is hope for them at that point.
I disagree with the philosophical views of the majority of this book.
Nope nope nope! Just a book about getting “free” stuff and not understanding the value of work or money. 🙅🏼♀️😡🙅🏼♀️😡🙅🏼♀️😡🙅🏼♀️😡
I really enjoyed this book. I liked that it was a mystery throughout and that everything was necessary to the story- there wasn‘t a lot of fluff to side track the reader.
Probability of finding “the one” based on statistics and research.
Great book for animal rights and for insight into why humans treat animals differently.
Learn how to sell yourself to others as a leader that they will listen to. Some good ideas, such as what sets you apart from others- focusing on that aspect.
Common sense of how to grow your business using marketing of referrals.
I did not like this at all. I do not believe what the book was trying to sell me on. I think it‘s great to have a positive mindset but this is some next level nonsense to me.
I think I had already heard everything offered in the book for financial advice but it was encouraging to read over again. Common sense ideas that most people do not follow.
I enjoyed learning about her life growing up playing tennis and how the she dealt with the scandal around using banned products.
Had some good points but mostly about how to sell yourself and make good presentations, so a little boring.
I liked the ideas in the book, the way they were explained were logical and understandable. For example, if you begin writing down what you‘re grateful for, you will notice more things that you are grateful for because you are looking for more naturally.
I enjoyed the psychology aspects of the book.
I was sooooo bored! I wanted to love it because I read some positive reviews about it!
There are some good ideas to be more productive and it helps to break down what‘s more important in your career so you know where to put more focus.
This was the best book I have read in a while. It made me question my own rating system, but I rarely give 5 stars and this one deserves it.
Interesting story
One that‘s been on my TBR list for a long time! #ReadingResolutions #PolkaDots
Light and easy. I enjoyed the emphasis on kindness rather than the romantic relationship.
Interesting read but it takes a while to get through just because of the letters basically being morally and religiously backwards since it‘s from the perspective of one of the devil‘s apprentices.
I understand prayer, mindfulness, and meditation but I couldn‘t get on board with some of his descriptions and definitions. It seems like he‘s afraid to say what he really believes for fear of upsetting his readers... just too vague and wishy washy for me.
I enjoyed this book. It took me a while to read despite how short it is because I wanted to make sure I gave it my full attention. I liked the philosophical principles.
I love reading these books around Christmas just because they‘re light and easy! 🎅🏼🎄
