pickA dark and stormy morning seems like the perfect time to finish a book entirely about mummies!
I learned so much from this book! About parasites, peat bogs, civilizations of long ago, the monetary aspect of death and preservation of bodies, and possible future death practices… so much info here!
It‘s a strange and dark topic, but if you‘re curious at all I‘d recommend this one! Thanks for the loan and rec @Eyelit !

julesG Mummies have fascinated me ever since I saw my first at age 8. My class visited a baroque castle/mini-palace and it was the only "odd" item in the collection. Okay, thinking about it right now, there were Chinese vases and Italian marble statues, too. So probably not that odd, but unexpected. Anyway, I've been interested in them and archaeology since then. 2y
