Mehso-so

This novel is a little difficult to follow with the large number of characters and jumps in time, which could be why it's less scary than it might have been. I appreciate the setting---California's Central Valley---and there's a lot of vivid imagery, but the story doesn't quite gel, at least for me. The ending is solid, though.

Three women arrive and things take a turn for the town.

I wish I understood this book a bit more, but all I can say is it wasn‘t in my realm of interest. It‘s about a town and it‘s people and the dealings of regret and grief, so if that sounds more up your ally, I would recommend. :)

After I‘m done reading a book, I move on to another by doing “Eeny, meeny, miny, moe” with my small assortment. I‘ve always been surprised by what I read, for good or bad, and this helps me branch out a bit. :)

Looks like Locke 1982 is my next read!
