Lord Brocktree
Lord Brocktree | Brian Jacques
Salamandastron, under the guardianship of old Lord Stonepaw, is under threat from an enemy of immense and terrifying power. Ungatt Trunn, the wildcat who can make the stars fall from the sky, has attacked with his Blue Hordes and is determined that the fortress should be his. The mountain's defences are weak and it seems that nothing can stand in his way. Nothing, that is, but the badger Lord Brocktree, who is drawn to Salamandastron by an undeniable sense of destiny. But if he is to rescue the mountain from Trunn and his verminous hordes, he must gather about him an army capable of defeating them in battle. Together with the irrepressible haremaid, Dotti, and a host of brave creatures, Brocktree journeys to Salamandastron to fulfil his destiny. A captivating blend of heroism and adventure set against a backdrop of the legendary mountain fortress of Salamandastron.

Going back to my roots 🌳 Brian Jacques was my everything growing up. I‘ve been feeling nostalgic since my 35th birthday, and what better way to revisit my childhood? I missed a few books in my teenage years and decided to reread the Redwall series in chronological order instead of publication. Anyone else love this series to death like me??? 🐁🐿🦔🐇🍁🍂

Lord Brocktree is the story of the eponymous badger lord long before the founding of Redwall.

Pickpick

This was first up on my #rereadmarathon and as with all other Redwall books I highly enjoyed it. I just love the descriptions of the food and camaraderie the heroes share. I also forgot how much I like reading the different animals accents in my mind, all so cute.

After finding a folder of much loved ebooks from years past I decided to dedicate the next few months to going back and rereading some of my old favorite novels. Many of these shaped my love for reading at a fairly young age so I'm hoping that I still enjoy them just as much many many years later.

First series on the list: Redwall 🐻 This time around I'll be rereading it in chronological order; starting with Lord Brocktree.
