I read this to the little humans today. It exemplifies the spirit of Christmas 💞

Mehso-so

This is the 2nd book I've read by DiCamillo this year and like the novel, this one has a feeling of highlighting the mundane. I wasn't really attached to it and it feels like you really need to read between the lines and imagine the rest to get a complete story. The message is clear but I feel like it just didn't resonate with me. Not a book I'll remember but it is very atmospheric #tmskellington #wintergames #holidayread

Christmas! Mine and my kids book haul. Books have always been a popular present in my family.

Zelma Very nice! I am really intrigued by What We See When We Are Reading. 8y
LibrarianJen @Zelma Me too! Especially since @PatriciaU gave it to me as part of my Secret Santa present! (edited) 8y

This is one of my favorite books of all time. I bought it used, long ago. My friend met Kate DiCamillo at Hicklebee's and had it signed for me because I couldn't make it that day. It's the only book she signed differently. She added "with" and underlined great joy. It brings me so much joy to share this book with my son every year. I hope that I am setting the example this book suggests every day.
