'Absolutely gripping, I raced through Undertow' Rosamund Lupton. A heart-pounding psychological thriller for fans of Disclaimer and Apple Tree Yard. My husband's lover. They said her death was a tragic accident. And I believed them . . . until now. Carmen is happily married to Tom, a successful London lawyer and divorc with three children. She is content to absorb the stresses of being a stepmother to teenagers and the stain of 'second wife'. She knows she'll always live in the shadow of another woman - not Tom's first wife Laura, who is resolutely polite and determinedly respectable, but the lover that ended his first marriage: Zena. Zena who was shockingly beautiful. Zena who drowned swimming late one night. But Carmen can overlook her husband's dead mistress . . . until she starts to suspect that he might have been the person who killed her.

Assumed it popped up to hear about my book so I told him: a recently married woman whose husband has an ex-wife and kids and a dead ex-girlfriend that may have some red flags. It looked at me and then dove underwater. Birds are picky readers apparently.

scripturient 😂😂 I'm on my phone so the pic was kind of small but I was just wondering if this was a swimming snake raising its head. 😂😂😂 7y
Matilda @scripturient I've seen people run out of the lake screaming snake before realizing it's a heron 😂 7y

#TBRtemptation post 7! A debut novel in which a woman hunts for the truth when she realizes her husband may be a killer. Carmen feels second-fiddle to Tom's first mistress, Zena, a woman who roused the deepest and darkest emotions and who was drowned in the sea one night. In death, Zena's presence has grown. As various evidences come to light, Carmen questions everything about Tom. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
