A little late in posting this but we‘ve got a winner for my #2023readingbracket !!! The Wager, to no one‘s surprise, takes the top spot. I could tell since I read that it would be hard to beat, and indeed it was! This was my first time making a bracket like this so I‘m excited to do it again in 2024!

Didn't get this up before the start of the New Year but here's my top read of 2023 according to my #2023ReadingBracket . There were several strong contenders, but nothing could beat out When The Amgels Left the Old Country in the end. Thanks for making this fun graphic @chasjjlee !

It was pretty close between Iron Widow and She Who Became the Sun but Iron Widow won out

Here‘s my #2023ReadingBracket !

And I absolutely refuse to choose between Sistersong and Clytemnestra as my favorite read of the year. I won‘t do it. 😅

Cuilin Some years are like that. 😆 here‘s to many more reads where you can‘t choose a favorite. 11mo

#2023ReadingBracket @chasjjlee

My top pick for 2023 is Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. It was hard to choose between it and The Running Grave. Both had a great plot and characters that were well developed. It was closer to a tie than an all out winner.

Both books are part of series. #SeriesLove2023 @Andrew65

Andrew65 Always difficult to choose an overall winner. I‘m waiting of my hold of Iron Flame to come in. According to the library I have about four weeks still to wait. 11mo

I almost put both books into the final spot, it was that close. Ravensong focuses on my favorite character of the series, but Heartsong edges it out by a hair with its fractured mirror lens that refreshes the series and makes you fall in love with the characters all over again. #2023readingbracket

#2023ReadingBracket #Fiction

It will take a better reader than me to decide which should be my top book of the year. And if I‘m honest I would squeeze a couple more into the top spot. Rebecca Wait certainly gets top author because the tagged and Our Fathers are both deserving.

Thank you @chasjjlee for the bracket 💜

I tend to read more fiction than nonfiction, but I still find it too difficult not to separate the categories. #2023readingbracket #nonfiction

Amiable Totally! I read both genres equally, and I separate them into different brackets. It‘s too difficult to compare fiction to NF— the reading experience isn‘t the same and I‘m looking for different things from each genre. 11mo

rachelk @Amiable @Deblovestoread It‘s honestly hard for me not to separate the nonfiction into subcategories! 😅 11mo

I‘m still hoping to finish one more book today, but I‘m okay calling my top read of the year. Obviously, it‘s the tagged book.

I read some great books this year and some mediocre books. But I‘m happy with my 2023 reading.
