Some great short stories. Very enjoyable. And the Horus Heresy arc marches on.

Really fun book. Vulkan back in the fight for Terra. I really enjoyed it.
Nope, I don't think Eisenhorn is a very charismatic or likable character (at least to me), but I still enjoyed this third book about him. Maybe I just like his taste in women? Because I really liked those. The story itself is nothing new in the Warhammer universe and therefore perfect background noise. There were some scenes that really captured me, so it's a Pick.

Lot of battles which is fun. A little weird but still good.
So, my #BookSpin is Hereticus, volume 3 of Eisenhorn's adventures. And my #DoubleSpin is a tragic story, because I wanted to order volume 8 of the Dune series, which you see displayed in this picture, but the German edition is out of stock. And no used copy far and wide. So what am I going to do about my bookshelf?! I'm in shock right now.

I not only enjoy reading Warhammer 40K, I also watch and sometimes play it (virtual). When Spotify noticed a pattern, it thought I might enjoy Grimdark Tavern who makes music inspired by Warhammer 40K. And yeah, I do. Quite a lot.
“Cadia stands“ even managed to steal Nemo's crown as my Nr. 1 song. Even though Cadia falls (not a spoiler), the song lets me feel empowered during this time. Cadia stands as a human planet alone against the Warp ⬇
This audiobook was more background noise for me, while I was doing this and that. The story got more interesting after the 50% mark, so the plot maybe just needed some time to speed up. I for myself would've loved to spend more time with the female characters, because to me they seemed more interesting than Eisenhorn. I'm still curious about what's going to happen to him next.

Just as with my other Omnibus volume, I'm going to split this one up. For my #DoubleSpin I've read the first story, and have to say, even though it's interesting and makes me curious about the books, without the first volume of the series, it would leave me unsatisfied. Planning to read the next part in April.

And here I am with my March #BookSpinBingo board and another Omnibus. Like with the one by Dan Abnett, I'm going to read in steps. For this first round I'm going to read the short stories set before book one.
My #DoubleSpin is another chunkster, that's why I've avoided reading it for a long time. But I'm glad I'm finally back in that world.
@TheAromaOfBooks
Not that easy to see, but my next roll in #BookishMonopoly brought me to "series vol 2". I had to think a little about this, until I realised that the next step in that giant of a book is the second Eisenhorn novel. So here we go!
