Enjoyed this one. Action packed and the origins of the Grey Knights explained.

I had high hopes for this one. Honestly I find this author's books to be misses in the series. So much potential to finally get the scoop on the emperor but he almost seems like a secondary character in this book. Also not a fan of this author's writing style.

Giving this a go after playing some Space Marine 2. Really want to dig into some Warhammer 40k lore. Enjoying it so far.

At first, I thought I might get a little tired of this series. Tbh, the books are all kind of the same - Fast Food in book form 😄 But then Felicia appeared and I was hooked. I hope there'll be more books with her. And yes, I would read a whole spin-off series about her! Cain is Cain, as always, and once again, I enjoyed Jurgen and the dynamics between them. Fun and fast paced.

With volume 3 I conclude this collection of the first three books and some short stories about Ciaphas Cain.

While the third installment could've been a interesting take on demons and their views of gender, this ended up being fatphobic and queerphobic in some scenes. They were small and not important to the story, but still there. Therefore only a soft pick this time. I still enjoyed the rest, though.

The second book with Ciaphas Cain works like the first one. Means, I had a lot of fun, there was shooting and running away, some banter and aliens. The story itself is already starting to slip my mind, but those books do live from the character of Cain himself, so that's fine with me.
