Day 5: #7books7days a book that inspired me with no explanation.

The audiobook was amazing! It felt like Michelle was sitting next to me and we were having girl talk for hours. Loved this one.

What did you think of Becoming?

TrishB Loved it 👍🏻 was lucky enough to see her talking about it too. 4y
Freespirit It‘s on my TBR list! 4y
BayouGirl85 I think I may be the only one who didn't care for it. I'm not sure why. 😢 4y

LoverOfLearning @TrishB Ohh amazing! 4y
LoverOfLearning @Freespirit You'll enjoy it. I recommend the audiobook for sure. 4y
LoverOfLearning @BayouGirl85 did you read the physical book? Bc I feel like that would be impersonal and less memorable. The audiobook is the way to go with this one. 4y
BayouGirl85 @LoverOfLearning I did listen to the audio. I usually love memoirs. I‘m not quite sure why it didn‘t work for me. I know tons of people loved it. 4y

My final book...this was a book I read and I vowed to visit this beautiful country. The writing was so beautiful and the story heartfelt. I still plan to visit Italy....one day x

BayouGirl85 This looks interesting. May be another TBR 4y

Jemima just wanted to be like the other girls. She‘s called “Jemima Big”, forced into the school health group - aka “Fat Club”. A brilliantly, funny and touching book that explored the big issues of bullying, body confidence and most importantly how to be happy how you are. It‘s important for older readers to read this too as it helps put you back in the mindset of how teenage girls think and feel. Shared with my 13 year old too ❤️

#7books7days day 7

I didn't read anything categorized as "self help" before Brene! I have read all of her books except 2, and she has changed me. Brene writes about her research on shame and vulnerability. Sounds depressing, but it is incredibly inspiring and uplifting! I re-listen to this one on audio whenever I am feeling really down on myself. A great, well-researched exploration of our view of self, and how it can make or break you

CRR I love Brene and all of her books. This one was one of my favorites. She has changed me too. 4y

#7books7days day 5

I read Jane in high school, and while I see some problems with the plot now, I was smitten with it back then! I loved Jane as an example of a smart woman who could still make a man fall for her, bc what else would a teenage girl who spends her days with her nose in books aspire to? 🤣

#7books7days day 4

I totally forgot to continue this! I will make the rest of my posts tonight. I read all of the Anne series in 5th and 6th grade, and I just felt like Anne was a kindred spirit! I loved how long the story kept going, and I remember being in love with the prose. I need to go back and read the series as an adult!

8little_paws I was thinking of revisiting it too! 4y
Scochrane26 I‘ve been meaning to read the series again. Haven‘t read it since I was young, but I still have my very worn-out set that my parents bought me. 4y

Day 2: #7books7days this is a book that inspired me in early middle school.

A must read for anyone who has never read this utopian classic. It is enthralling, thought-provoking, and horrifying in it's own way.

Who has seen the movie? I find myself avoiding it in fear I'd hate it.

magyklyXdelish I don‘t think I‘ve read this book. Onto my ever growing TBR list it goes lol 4y
LoverOfLearning @magyklyXdelish it's a pretty quick read because it's so interesting. 4y
Scochrane26 I didn‘t watch the movie. I‘ve heard it‘s awful. 4y

LoverOfLearning @Scochrane26 yeah. I've gotten that vibe from it. 4y
Cosmos_Moon One of my favorites! I‘ve reread a few times, first when I was 12, and just found out there are sequels last year! They‘re also good 😎 I did see the movie... it‘s alright. I enjoy watching book to movie. 4y
LoverOfLearning @Cosmos_Moon yeah the book sequals.. I havent ever wanted to read them I don't know why. Maybe one day when I have a lot of free time I will get into them. Yeah same I try to read the book first. 4y
Joriebooks I love this book. The sequels are awesome too. Especially because you don‘t have to know they‘re connected to enjoy them or understand the plot. Each one is its own storyline. 4y
LoverOfLearning @Joriebooks ooh I didn't know they were not connected. Hmm interesting. 4y
