Goal met, #100 for the year! I went with the audiobook since time is short. Turned out to be an excellent choice. Narrated by the author. He is pleasant and affirming with his mild Southern drawl - just as his books have always struck me. Highly recommend to any Tales of the City fans. 5 ⭐

2-24-21: My 21st finished book of 2021! The 9th and final book of the Tales of the City series. I didn‘t want it to end and when it did I cried. The gang from Barbary Lane travel to Burning Man while Mrs. Madrigal tells us some stories from her youth and takes a trip back to her home town. 2-21-21: My 20th finished book of 2021! Book 8 in the Tales of the City series. Mary Ann is back from NYC, in need of help from her dear friend Mouse. There were several story lines in this one and they all met up in the end with lots of surprises along the way. I hate that there is only one more book in the series. 2-3-21: My 12th finished book of 2021! Book 4 of the Tales of the City series. Back on Barbary Lane in San Fran with Mrs. Madrigal and her tenants/family in 1982 at the height of the AIDS crisis. 1-9-21: My 3rd finished book of 2021! I‘m re-reading this series. I haven‘t read it since the mid 90s. Written in 1978, book 1 holds up well. A time capsule of a funky era in San Fran and the group of people who live at 28 Barbary Lane are equally as interesting as the time they live in. I love Maupin's book! They're so easy to read and neve trivial.
This one in particular has left me with a lot of emotions and a sardonic smile on the face!
