The beginning meet-cute didn‘t go as smoothly as it could have. Max‘s character was written as pretty standoffish, so I‘m not sure how he went from being annoyed to wanting to hang out with her as fast as he did. They didn‘t seem to have much chemistry. I really wanted this to be a cozy, Christmas read but it fell flat for me. Book #100 in 2025 ⭐️⭐️

Very similar to Backman‘s Ove, but from the POV of a middle aged woman. Phoebe is not as boring as she presents, she‘s very witty and very likeable . Heavy content, but many comedic moments that make it an easy read. Book #100 in 2024

Finished this on Sunday, it‘s my 2nd book for April #Roll100 (Book #100 which was “Any Kindle Unlimited”) I‘m glad I finally got around to reading it, it‘s just a very introspective cozy science-fiction/fantasy story. A quick read that I wanted to take my time with. I could relate to Dex‘s existential crisis & how they wondered what they were doing while they kept doing it & of course Mosscap is delightful.🍵🤖🤍⬇️

Overall, I enjoyed this. Maybe I would‘ve enjoyed it more had I read the first book in the series. I kept getting all the characters (-MCs) all muddled.
