pickThis remains one of my favorite children‘s books no matter how often I reread it. From its publication in 1971 to today it has stayed relevant, joyful and energizing. It makes me so sad that this book has ever been banned, most notably in ‘89 for portraying the logging industry in a bad light, but it still has detractors today who say it sends messages against capitalism. #BBRCPictureBookLetterL @LibrarianRyan
