#17BookLove #BookDrinkILove Ahhhhhhhhh, I LOVE COFFEE! Mostly it's the aroma that heightens my pleasure, but since starting Whole30 I've been weaning myself. I only have one cup every other day, decaf and I add unsweetened almond milk that is without any carrageenan. Today is day 15, and the plan overall is definitely making a difference😊I've also been drinking the coffee iced with tons of ice cubes so it's not very strong!
Bookish.Heart Whole 30? I'm going to have to look this up! 8y
DebinHawaii Great job sticking with it! 👍😀 8y

Cinfhen @Bookish.Heart I was having tons of digestive issues so this was a way to try and figure out which foods irritate my stomach/body! It's not easy but it's really working. 8y

Lmstraubie You are very committed! 🙆🙆🙆 8y
Cinfhen Thanks @Lmstraubie 💗I was at the point of depression 😬 8y
LauraBeth You're halfway there! Nice job 😀☕️ 8y
saresmoore I'm so glad you're starting to see a difference! This post reminded me to stop sipping from my husband's delicious cup of locally fresh roasted pour over and switch back to my tea lest I regret it. 😒/😏 8y
Graciouswarriorprincess Great job! I don't know that I go without my coffee. But, I limit myself to two cups with a teaspoon of cream only. 8y
Cinfhen Thanks @LauraBeth @Graciouswarriorprincess ❤️Days 3 -10 were rough and my sugar beast is STILL RAGING 😐I can see /say limiting my caffeine has been monumental (because even decaf contains some caffeine 8y
Cinfhen @saresmoore I'm hoping that sips are ok every now and then RIGHT ?!?! 8y
LauraBrook I'm about 1/4 of the way into It Starts With Food, and what they say makes a lot of sense. My doctor would like me to do this, and I'm mostly willing, but it for sure takes a lot of planning and prep work ahead of time. The no dairy and no sugar are what's tripping me up the most mentally. (Though I'm sure the whole thing will be tough!) (edited) 8y
saresmoore @Cinfhen Absolutely! I can have a whole decaf Americano from my favorite coffee shop on occasion! I have acid reflux, so really have to be careful with coffee, that's all. 8y
saresmoore @LauraBrook It can be a lot of prep, but don't undervalue a hearty salad! I have become exposed to so many new ingredients/toppings and most of them can be purchased already prepped. It's a great way to get more fermented foods in your diet, too. 8y
howjessicareads I'm starting one on Wed!! Glad to hear your W30 is going well! 8y
LauraBrook @saresmoore Thanks! I'm glad there's a Trader Joe's near my office, I can always pop in and pick up some prepped good stuff. I have off all this week, so I plan on making lots of lists for things to do/make, and making a run to donate my shelf stable food to a food pantry. I'm excited to try this and also v nervous. 8y
Cinfhen @LauraBrook buy lots of bananas, sweet potatoes and tons of veggies! I would say try to keep your foods pretty simple and basic. Also whatever you prepare for dinner, make enough to last at least another meal or two. I found having hard boiled eggs already in the fridge is helpful. You said you were anxious about dairy, that's the one thing I'm REALLY not missing. Good luck and message me for encouragement, you too @jess.how 💕💕 8y
LauraBrook @Cinfhen Thank you so much for the tips!!! And, the whole fact that you're not missing dairy? Mind = blown! 8y
Cinfhen It's the NO sugar that's messing with me. I hear by day 15, you no longer crave it but... that's not my case yet @LauraBrook 😩 8y
DebinHawaii @Cinfhen I am sorry for adding to your pain! 😆😣 8y
Cinfhen @DebinHawaii you're excused ONLY because your posts are sooo awesome! I'm waiting on the day when hopefully I can eat at least half of what you post😍 8y
Lmstraubie Got to go through the bad to get to the good sometimes. You got this! 8y
britt_brooke Good luck, you're doing awesome! ?????? We never did Whole 30, but we ate pretty strict paleo for a while and I seriously never felt better. And I lost several lbs very quickly. Now, we try to eat "clean" as much as possible, but aren't as strict. Cutting out sugar is the hardest, most important part! 8y
Cinfhen Thanks so much @britt_brooke ?I'm feeling really good overall but I can tell there is no way I can sustain this long term...I'm learning to look at food choices and figure out what doesn't agree with me. The sugar is super hard, not really missing grains, dairy and legumes. I think you're right, "clean" eating is the way to go!!! 8y
Cinfhen I so appreciate the moral support @Lmstraubie 💖💖💖 8y
