So not only did #botm make me pay $3 for a special edition. I now have to wait all month to get my books…

I‘m not sure I would have actually gotten to them in May, but I‘m now worried they‘ll get delivered while I‘m away on vacation…

ChaoticMissAdventures I have only heard about all this through the book grapevine. I really hope your copy looks better than the ones I have seen online were faded and poor quality. And that you enjoy it, there was so much initial hype around this whole thing. 7h

This months #botm box (including the limited edition book!) got a lil wet on the way here. Grateful a neighbor (or maybe the mailman?) left it on the heater in our lobby. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Miraculously I saw no damage to the actual books. 🥹🤕

so-so

Ostensibly a quick read, this April #BOTM pick took me longer to get through than I expected. It‘s a dark book— it reminded me a bit of SHARP OBJECTS but without the balance & even more emphasis on addiction, abuse & an awkwardly inserted romantic plot. If I was from NE/SD, I‘m not sure I would enjoy this portrayal either… Providence‘s return to join the search for her mother did capture my interest but the conclusion wasn‘t satisfying to me.
