I used to read lots of his books. Somehow I missed this one. It was not what I expected but I enjoyed it. I liked Jimmy Tock and his family. A different kind of thriller. 4/5⭐️

Per Janet from “The Bad Place.” Reminder on Indigenous People‘s Day that Columbus was not a good guy. He killed & exploited people, not to mention he didn‘t discover America. #realhistory #honesthistory

Soft pick. It gets weirder & weirder as it goes. It began with the MC (who has a rare genetic condition) uncovering a conspiracy, I was hooked from the start and further in it was easy to get caught up in the action.

I was excited to randomly pick this Koontz book off of my shelf, as I‘ve been meaning to read it for ages. It was okay-Koontz is entertaining but not quite the level of Stephen King for me. It was intense from the first page to the last, for sure. And the female MC made so many stupid decisions throughout!
Mostly, I just felt like this story was dark. Perhaps because the news has been so dark too recently? I enjoyed it, but it felt really dark.
