Watchers | Dean R. Koontz

Pickpick

This story pulled at my deepest, strongest heart string…dogs. Watchers is an incredible story. I listened to the audiobook every chance I had. The characters are more than likable, they are lovable. The only thing more scary than the monster are the people who created it. This novel filled my heart and entertained my brain. This is not only one of my favorite Koontz books, it‘s easily an all-time favorite.

KathyWheeler This is one of my all time favorite Koontz books. I remember thinking that the last couple of paragraphs were sappy, but I loved the book. (edited) 9mo
TheBookgeekFrau One of my all time favorites, too💞 This was the first Koontz book I ever read, way back in the 80s; I still think of Einstein lying by the fire reading!! 😁🥰 9mo

ShelleyBooksie Is this one gory? The story sounds really good but many Koontz books are too dark/gory for me 9mo
NatalieR @KathyWheeler I thought the same thing about the ending, but I‘m glad it ended that way. ❤️🐾 9mo
NatalieR @TheBookgeekFrau Awww I love that image! Such a creative aspect of the story. ❣️ 9mo
NatalieR @ShelleyBooksie There‘s a few gory scenes due to the monster. Overall, it‘s a love story of a couple and a dog. As a fan of horror and tolerance for gore, I think this one is lighter in that department. 9mo

I am posting one book per day from my extensive, and ever growing, TBR shelves. Some are new and some are old, some were gifts and some I don't remember why I bought them.

Pickpick

‘They found the town silent, apparently abandoned.
But the terror had only begun in the tiny mountain town of Snowfield, California.‘

I bought this years ago and just finally got around to reading it. One of the best books I‘ve read by Dean Koontz.

Forever Odd | Dean R. Koontz

Bringing back an author I used to read with the Odd Thomas series. This is book 2. I adored book 1, but this one was flat for me. I think this is a transition book, so I will read the next. I had difficulty buying into this story and the ghosts that populated the first were largely absent. This was a different crime to solve with another psycho, but I found it tedious.
