This was a quick read with lots of spice! I like the world building and the seven brothers. I‘m thrilled they will each get a standalone book and can‘t wait for Prince Gluttony‘s story. I felt like Wrath‘s story should‘ve been adult and not YA, so I‘m glad these are adult books.

What really made this book was the writing — quick and clever, with strong characters and a plot that actually sort of made sense through the farcical nature of it all. Samuel is quirky and charming, and we root for him all the way through. A bit more on the horror side than I like, but enjoyable regardless. An excellent potato chip book.

Sharing the first chapter line, not the prologue:

Miss Camilla Antonius had very little patience for fools, even handsome ones.

Completely random grab off the TBR — I didn‘t even look. Can‘t remember when or why I picked this up but when one of the taglines is “Madeline L‘Engle by way of Douglas Adams”, I know I‘ll enjoy it!

First, I‘d like to thank Goodreads for gifting this book to me. Although it wasn‘t my genre of choice, it wasn‘t bad. It was definitely written for the younger generation, with most of the characters begin teenagers. It dealt with angels, demons, protectors, etc. There were a lot of fight scenes, which also isn‘t necessarily my thing. This book is part one of a series that I most likely won‘t continue.

I have never given a Jennifer McMahon book less than a 4, and I am giving this book a 1.... a 1!!! What the heck is going on?? I hated this book. None of the characters were good, was ridiculous, not scary, boring, boring, boring. I fell asleep twice reading this because I was so bored. This trope should not be boring. Just ugh! 1/5

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Oh my! 😅 this was quite the spicy fantasy 🌶🌶🌶🌶 Spice aside, I enjoyed the story. It was a very thrilling and action-packed plot. Very fantastical and adventure driven. I‘m happy it‘s a stand-alone in what will be a series of stand-alone‘s. While I enjoyed it for what it was, I am satisfied with its conclusion and don‘t feel I need more.
