A new graphic novel added to a library in our consortium…sure I‘ll give it a try. The hold comes in and woah, no clue what this was about or the graphic (erotic!) content. This is a witch-burning, demon nightmare/crossover into real life full of sex, murder, sinning and judgement in 1600s England. I appreciated the use of two styles of illustrations, from the two creators. It really added dimension to the work.
THIS one I liked more. The banter between Little Sh*t Asteroth and Always Fighting Calladia was tasty. Maybe I'm just a sucker for...well, this wasn't exactly enemies to lovers, but it was close! As close as you can probably get in contemporary fiction. The ending was...interesting, but I can appreciate that these books, while romances, try to tackle Big Issues(TM) as well as personal ones.

I‘m not sure what I expected from this book other than a steamy demonic smut-fest and it delivered. This is such an interesting take on romantasy and I truly enjoyed every minute of it. I fell in love with demonic brothers and I have 0 shame about it, can‘t wait for the next in the series!

This book started off with spice and I wasn't sure if I would like it due to the spicyness. I loved Ash and his brothers (all demons from Hell) and Eva. Ash falls for Eva as she is a musician and she can see him through a curse that makes him ugly. The romance between Ash & Eva is also wonderful & surprisingly (given how unfeeling demons are supposed to be in this world) heartfelt & emotional.
This book was fun, spicy and enjoyable.
Book 22.

What an interesting story with wonderfully strange characters! I devoured this one pretty quick (for my personal speed).
#hailthebail @dabbe @tpixie this is Christopher Moore‘s first published novel. I really enjoyed his A Dirty Job and its sequel, Secondhand Souls. His writing has improved tremendously since this was published. I really wanted to like this book and I listened to 40% of it. But in the end, I just didn‘t want to waste my time anymore. #betterbooksahead
Well. That happened quickly! That was just three reading sessions. It really is more of a mood than a plot, and that leaves it feeling somewhat... open ended. Kind of like waking up from a dream, all of a sudden. I enjoyed it!
#BookSpinBingo going well so far; faded ones aren't read yet, the dashed border is for finished books in free spaces, solid border and full opacity = finished books from the list. I hope for at least three bingos.
