Hung out at the Farmers market on Saturday afternoon - had some boba tea, listened to live music, and finished this book! It was great! Kind of different from what I was expecting, but definitely in a good way! 💕📚
I haven‘t posted a book review in May yet. 😬😬
Finished this one on 5/5/25. It was okay, a little long. Music, demons, princes of hell, smut.
I expected a light read about a small town & their amateur detective who is a librarian with some supernatural elements. Which is what I got but with a twist thrown in. An enjoyable read, really loved the cat.
Low pick. This is my second Nghi Vo book and I love the way she writes. Lots of other reviews have pointed to this being very vibe based - and that‘s both a strength and a weakness - loved watching a city rise, fall and rise again over a large span of years but the weakness is that there isn‘t really a character that you grow to care deeply about.
This was so cute! Funny@and self deprecating with a tiny dash of danger and a fun mystery.
