I forgot to update on this one & I‘m sad to say that i was baited with #cozyreads
It‘s cute, wholesome, & reads like YA.. until BAM💥
random #smut scenes everywhere?!
the adult language sounded like teenagers trying to be edgy, not a group of adults who hit the bars.
I wanted cozy chaos & got tonal whiplash.
Would anyone recommend the rest of the series or was this a sign to turn back before I get hexed again?😬

I sometimes find it hard to review a book this far into a series.

For those familiar with the series: this book continues to follow our beloved protagonist as she tries to keep Cincinnati's supernatural community from going off the rails again.

Full of Harrison's signature wit, unique characters, and stunning world building, I'd call this another strong entry in the series.

If you enjoy urban fantasy, at all, I highly recommend The Hollows!

An idyllic village complete with a murder solving librarian. Sherry‘s investigative skills are needed for more than reference work as the bodies begin to pile up. When Sherry‘s boyfriend is killed, her investigations take a personal supernatural turn. Charming premise, but this was almost a DNF. The characters were pleasant enough, but it was only a 2.5 ⭐️read for me.

Standalone novella about an angel and demon. The demon created a world and the angels came and destroyed it. The demon curses the angel and they weirdly have to work together and through it.

Loved it! I related to the MC teacher working at a magic boarding school. She‘s filling out a Risk Assessment for the demonic summoning she‘s conducting the next day with her high schoolers. Like, yes, it‘s magic, but there‘s also a lot of paperwork. 😋A fascinating magic system, some good action/battles, a subtle sapphic romance and a few gasp out loud moments made this a clear Pick. Our store book club had lots to discuss! I‘d read more by Tesh.

A creepy, Satanic short horror listen that kept me under its spell. Strong voice. Stronger demon. Well narrated. it‘s a hard look at one NY professional woman‘s possession & bloody unraveling. #horrorfiction #demons #murderouswomen #audiobooks

Do not walk, RUN, to your local bookstore and pick this up. Absolutely wonderful. If you ever wanted a teacher‘s perspective on HP, this is the book for you. #summerreading #queer #fantasy

LiteraryinPA Well said! I recently read this and totally loved it, especially as a former boarding school teacher. 2w
