I waited way too long to read The City in Glass, but I always love Nghi Vo's work so it once again pips the Sarah Caudwell books I read in the same month to the post. The City in Glass is a strange fever-dream of a book, and beautiful.

pickA nice compilation of short stories each focusing on different characters from the shadowhunter world. It was nice to be back with some of these characters again but some stories were better than others. We also got a sneak peek of her new trilogy coming out that will be the conclusion to her Shadowhunter books. That chapter was really exciting. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2.
Well so far this is a love letter to teachers, so I love it!

I love this #AuldLangSpine list from my match @rachelsbrittain ! The only one I‘ve already read is Sunrise on the Reaping. In January I‘m going to attempt to read 3- The Incandescent, as I already have it, Hemlock & Silver (Jan‘s #AuthorAMonth, how convenient!), and An Extraordinary Union as I can get it right away on Libby. I‘m making myself a StoryGraph challenge to keep reading the rest throughout the year.

pickI first came upon Emily Tesh through the Greenhollow Duology. 'The Incandescent' is quite different, but still has beautiful prose. I love dark academia and like how the main POV is from a head director rather than a student. You get to see a different side of the academia. I also enjoyed the romance. The audiobook narration is wonderful. 4 stars.

pan2✨ This book hurt. We have a demon that loves her city that is destroyed. An angel helps her rebuild, but more happens that caused my personal heartache. It is short in jumps through time a lot because of that. Then it hurt. 😭 #FableBR @Littlewolf1
