Stormy outside, cozy inside.
This one is so good so far. I love T. Kingfisher's writing.

July‘s #bookspin comes from a very limited selection, since I‘ve packed all but 3 of my books 😱. The other are audio from Libby and Libro.FM. If I happen to have enough time for more there‘s always my kindle or the library! Hopefully my shelves will be set back up by the end of July. 📚
5✨ This was not a surprise 5 Star for me because I have read it close to when it was copy written in 2003/2005. I loved it then and I love it now! It also caused me to follow the author ever since. The princess Ani is forced to become Isi and the Goose Girl for the king of her arranged marriages land. All in her company died to save her, but the villain in this story did not anticipate the talents of Ani‘s animal speak, and her determination.
This was just a lot of fun. I liked how the friendship developed between Fi and Shane and all their adventures. I wasn‘t totally convinced by the romances (very insta-love) and the twist on the Sleeping Beauty story. But overall, I enjoyed it and will consider getting around to the sequel at some point.
June‘s #bookspin I‘m keeping it more simple as I prepare to move. 1-10 and repeat the same books for 11-20. I may lean towards more audio than usual while I‘m packing. I hope I have time for all 3 of my book club books and one for #authoramonth, we‘ll see!
Happy Pride Month 🏳️🌈
This was a fun little read. This is a fairy tale retelling of Sleeping Beauty. What if the fairy gifts weren‘t to protect the Princess, but to protect others *from* the Princess? It really is a charming little novella. Give it a go!
I can‘t believe it‘s time for May‘s #bookspin list already! Where has the year gone?
Here is yet another “slice of my bookshelves”, plus a few options for my topic bookclub: May‘s topic is a book with a map. And Advice for Future Corpses is for another bookclub.
What will @TheAromaofBooks choose for us this time?
