so-soI saw Oleg Kashin speak with Andrey Kurkov at this year's Edinburgh Book Festival and it was one of my favourite events, two fascinating writers firmly within Russia's satirical-fantastical tradition (a personal favourite). Sadly Fardwor, Russia felt a little too sketchy and undeveloped to make the most of its potential. I'd still like to read Kashin's nonfiction #fictionintranslation #Russia #satire
