I bought this a while back and only just recently read through the collection. It was cool seeing so many people's comic responses to or during the pandemic. They all had their own interest and insights. I'm glad I picked this up. #Comic #JournalComic #NonfictionComic #Pandemic

This comic is somewhere between a journal comic (which I love) and a graphic memoir. It felt unfocused because of that, but it was also interesting seeing what she wanted to deep-dive into. It was interesting seeing her struggle with her decision to suddenly re-track her life to draw comics. The pretty font style gave me a really hard time because I'm dyslexic, so it took me a while to make things out. #LGBTQ #Comic #GraphicMemoir #JournalComic

I love Julia‘s heartfelt journal comics! They show snapshots of things she‘s struggling with, positive moments, and humorous situations. She shares a lot about relationship struggles, heartbreak, recovering from heartbreak, and her experiences as a trans woman. #Nonfiction #Comic #JournalComic #LGBTQ #Transgender

Such a fun art style, and it was fun seeing all of the things that the author found remarkable about her summer in Japan with her grandparents. Also loved the inclusion of photos throughout. I went Into this thinking it was going to be a narrative with a distinct story, but it was just a collection of observations which was fun too. #Japan #Tourism #TravelJournal #JournalComic

I'm joining @Andrew65 in #12Booksof2021, sharing one book every day that was our favorite read from a select month. In June, I read Julia's journal comic and absolutely loved it. So many of her 3 pannel comics were highly relatable even though I'm a cis woman. I also saw the experiences of many of my trans friends in these pages filled with Julia's hopes, successes, and pain. This book became A Fast favorite. #LGBTQ #Comic #JournalComic #Trans

I really enjoyed this collection of journaling comics about Julia's transition. She shares a lot of experiences along her journey, including times when she felt comfortable as herself and times when she experienced strong disphoria. Several of these comics made me year up with happy tears. I can't wait to read her next book! #Comic #JournalComic #LGBTQ #Transgender #TheRainbowShelf
