I love the Grand Canyon. There is so much more than just the canyon. I've visited a couple of times and always find it peaceful and relaxing. I would move there in an instant if it were possible. The building at the bottom left is the library.

In high school I had the chance to take a science class that did some awesome nature inspired field trips. In 1989 during spring break we got to hike down the Grand Canyon and spend a week white water rafting down the Colorado River. It‘s an experience I‘ll never forget. That‘s me in the blue shorts.

I‘ve never read any Sackville-West. I really only know her because of her connection to Virginia Wolfe. Turns out she wrote (among many many other things) this alternative history where the Nazis win WWII. She wrote it in 1942 when the outcome was still far from certain...
