I also have this to share with everyone participating in the #princeofdarknessreadalong. The MTV Video Music Awards is gonna be doing a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne on Sunday according to this post from their Facebook page. It‘s gonna be on CBS & Paramount+ 8 pm ET, 5 pm PT and 7 pm CT.
I'm a bit disappointed and it has more to do with the publisher's book blurb of "presents a raw, intimiate glimpse into her creative process." when it's 90% song lyrics of Welch's first 4 albums.
I love Welch and her music but there's very little of this glimpse into her process.
I wouldn't have picked this up to read now knowing what I know but this makes a nice coffee table kind of book.

An epistolary novel, 🎧.
A story of a village in Kent in 1940, and its mostly female inhabitants finding strength in music and each other. Their joys, sorrows, schemes, and tribulations in the face of the war. It was heartwarming, at times heartbreaking, at times too sweet, at times over the top dramatic. I enjoyed it overall, though I felt it went on for a bit too long. Probably won‘t reread, but would watch a movie if there‘s ever one.
I think in lyrics all the time. When I saw the prompt for the day, this song came to mind for some unknown reason. It came out sometime in my late childhood, I think. It‘s a sweet song so I‘ll share it in case you might want to listen to it.

ALL ABOARD…hahahahaha…. @BookwormAHN My hold is here so I can go off the rails on a crazy train for the #PrinceOfDarkness buddyread! I‘m really looking forward to this and will be listening to some Ozzy this morning on my walk/run to get in the zone. 🦇 🤘🏻
I'm enjoying the series so far. In this book, Bina and her best friend want to start a band. They find a drummer. Her friend falls in love with the drummer and things go wrong really quick now that Bina is a third wheel... Also her neighbor who has been friends with her forever is in love with her but she doesn't feel the same way. Really great graphics and a wonderful story.
Off and racing with #MonthlyNonfiction2025 for September - this graphic nonfiction book about the Redbone rock band. It was just so-so for me, but interesting in parts.
