Redshirts: A Novel with Three Codas | John Scalzi

The first book on the list is a really fun one. If you love Star Trek, alternate universe stuff, you‘ll love this. I listened to it read by Wil Wheaton (of Next Gen Trek) and it was great.

The other 2 on my list are TBRs The Three-Body problem is an award winning SF by Chinese author Liu Cixin.

Sue How good is Red Shirts !?! I loved the audio for it too. I really enjoyed the Three Body Problem as well although it felt like hard work at the time. 🚀 7y

DivaDiane @Sue I had one problem with the audio and by extension with the book: there were way too many “he said/she saids”! When reading you can gloss over them, but not so much when you are listening. It drove me crazy for about half the book. Scalzi said (to me!) that he‘s subsequently fixed the book, but the audio stands, unfortunately. 7y
