Tonight was a laugh-filled, delightful meeting of The #OmnivorousReadersBookClub! This book club works on themes, and this month‘s theme was Food. So, I chose this one, and, my, what a fantastic book this is! One of my all-time favorite non-fiction reads! Have you read it?! Excellent audio.

jb72 I love nonfiction books especially about food. Going on my TBR. 5y
SW-T Yes! This is one of my favorites, fiction or nonfiction 😊 5y
Lcsmcat Cool! Stacked. 5y
Tex2Flo I love the idea of themed reads for bookclub! What other themes have you all followed? 5y

We had our #OmnivorousReadersBookClub (#ORB) meeting tonight at one of the library's branches 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! The theme was: a book that you've been meaning to get to for a long time. Flo brought this behemoth 😆👏🏻. Beautiful book. #LitsyLovesLibraries

[DELETED] 3803335244 I haven‘t even meet Flo but I love her! She‘s awesome, that is one huge book! 7y
Cortg Fun! I had someone walk into our library recently and see the oversized book section that we relocated. They asked if they could check them out and their jaw about fell to the floor when we said “Yes! Of course!” Big books are fun! 7y

The theme of tonight‘s meeting of the #OmnivorousReadersBookClub (#ORB) was “That Book You Always Wanted to Read”. These are everyone‘s picks! I️ chose Anne of Green Gables. (This is the library copy, I️ didn‘t want to bring my collectible edition out of the house). It was a fun, eclectic meeting! 👍🏻

Tamra This is a great question/topic. Plus a second question to ponder, why haven‘t you read it yet?! (edited) 7y
Molly_the_mezzo This was a really fun meeting! 7y
[DELETED] 3803335244 Oh Angela‘s Ashes is a brilliant read! I also read the sequel Tis‘ !!! It‘s a book that should never be judged by its movie. Les Mis is great! Definitely bump Anne up on your list. I read them as a young girl. 7y

JulAnna What a fun idea for a meeting! 7y
tpixie Great idea! We read The Book That Matters Most and so this next year we are each picking our own book that matters most as our book selections for 2018. I keep coming up with kids books! 7y

This is Flo, a member of the #OmnivorousReadersBookClub , showing us her (huge) awesome book that she picked for tonight‘s meeting, the theme of which was “That Book You Always Wanted to Read”. The book is almost bigger than she is! 😄 Brownie points for lugging in this towering tome to share with us! 🙌🏻

Last night's meeting of the #OmnivorousReadersBookClub was great! Our theme was "New Beginnings," for the first month of the new year. We had treats and fun girl talk! (Most men up here in the mountains don't read so much as go fishing and drinking in local pubs, lol.) @MrBook had an important meeting in NJ so he couldn't join us. My pick is the one I tagged. Such a great book, it sets the new year off on the right note! ???
