Happy pride month! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 I realized I haven't made a pride month post here on Litsy, but I've been posting a daily #LGBTQ+ book on Instagram for each color of the Pride flag. Here's a collage of the first complete set of #PrideReads! #PrideMonth #BookRainbow
Trying to get through Middlesex for my local book club this coming week. It reads more like a memoir rather than a fiction tale which keeps throwing me off.

Not sure how I feel about this one. On the one hand, I thought the writing was lovely. I‘ve focused on #pridereads this month and was pleased to read a story about queer South Asian folks. On the other, Lucky (the narrator) was the only fully formed character, except maybe the mother. I wasn‘t feeling the romances, didn‘t understand what motivated the characters, and found several plot points (see: runaway sister) superfluous. 3/5

This week‘s #LGBTQ audiobook is Stray City. I‘ve been loving the first half, and am looking forward to finishing it.

This book was so evocative. Dennis-Benn describes so many sides of Jamaica in such detail. I felt like I could hear the ocean and taste the food and see the people. It was definitely hard to read in (many) places, but it felt honest. This was a fabulous #ownvoices debut AND it‘s one of my favorite #pridereads this year 💛💚💚💜❤️🧡

Starting this audiobook today. I like to use June as an excuse to really dive into #LGBTQ authors.
