Really unique art style with bright colors and expressive characters. Uses colors to introduce the basic objects that make up Muslim religious practice. I really liked this one because it works for a wide age range of children, and is equally useful for Muslim audiences looking for positive representation to foster pride and excitement in their own children, and for non-Muslim audiences looking to introduce their children to a new religion.

This definitely gives you a feel for the holiday, and is very educational. And the illustrations do a decent job of inviting you into a religion that doesn‘t have a uniform feeling since it‘s practiced all over the globe. But I got the sense the author was trying to capture a sense of magic that didn‘t totally come through in the words or the pictures. #WinterGames2021 #TeamGameSleighers @StayCurious

The illustrations in this book are so beautiful

My last #pop20 prompt was a book with a gold, silver, or bronze in the title. This lovely picture book contains two of those, and the illustrations are gorgeous! Highly recommend to anyone with young children in their lives.

This book is gorgeous! Beautiful illustrations accompany a smart rhymes describing how different colors are reflected in the little girl‘s Muslim culture. Words that may be new to the reader are in slightly larger font and listed in a glossary with pronunciations in the back. #bbrc #atoz:g
