Clwojick Disagree.... unless you‘re talking about how many books I‘ve bought in a single day😅😅😅. I have been known to tell a little white lie about that. Shhhhhhh they‘re mostly library books right? 5y

BookishTrish I took it to mean when we first fall in love we present a curated version of ourselves that may not be true 5y

Andrea4 @Clwojick @llwheeler @DannyHattan @Lindy I disagree too if this is done purposefully, but like @BookishTrish suggested, it isn't always intentional. I think, especially in this case, it's about a lot of the promises that get made in complete honesty but over time can't hold and thus could be considered lies. 5y

FantasyChick I agree 100%. Like @BookishTrish said, it isn't intentional but I do believe there are only a rare few that show their true selves during the "falling in love" stage. Instead, we tend to show a self that is more toned down or complimentary to our other half. Again, probably non-intentional but all too common. 5y

Been thinking about this question off and on all day, and I think I'm wood. Earth and air / wind both felt appealing in some ways, so wood feels right as being kind of a bridge between them.

I am loving this #audiobook 🥰 such a wonderful weaving of fairytale and reality.
It also made me wonder the other day- if you were made of an element (fire, earth, wind, water, metal, wood, etc) which would you consider yourself to be made of? And why?

Andrea4 @DannyHattan I've thought about that often...what powers the different elements might yield. I feel strongly that I would either be made of earth or wind. I don't know what it is about standing in gusting wind, but it makes me feel free. 5y

LibrarianRyan @DannyHattan toss up. Fire, because as I have the power to destroy, I also have the power to create. I can be effected by the changing winds of time, but also venerable to the elements. But then I also think metal. All are strong, but some flexible, moldable. It can be changed as needs demand. Yes metal can be used for war, but also for protection. So no easy answer. 5y

Mdargusch I am drawn to water so I‘m going with that. It‘s gives life but there is a power behind it too. 5y
