This book offers valuable insights and is easy to read, guiding you on how to manage your emotions and not allow the opinions of others to affect your mood or overall life goals. Whether it's dealing with a spouse, a friend, or your child, "The Let Them Theory" lays out a clear path for managing various situations, ultimately leading to a happier and more fulfilling life.

This is a repackaging of good advice to control what you can control. It‘s a good recentering, though I‘d like a little more information about parenting and this theory. The best part I thought was the section of adult friendships: why it‘s hard, what to do and what it takes to meet new friends and preserve old friendships. Overall, good reminder of how to not get engaged in the drama.

I think if I‘d read this in my 30s it would have had more of an impact on me. I‘m in my 50s now (like the author) and I kind of think people in their 50s naturally get to the ‘Let Them‘ phase. And it‘s great! Luckily I‘m one of those people who didn‘t really need this advice….I‘m living it already. Hooray to getting older! Letting things go can be very rewarding and cathartic. If you‘re not there yet it is truly something to look forward to!

This character study set in a small town is both devastating and hopeful. It is a quiet read, one giving the reader access to the secrets and sorrows of the lives of those living in Dalton. Full review at http://booknaround.blogspot.com/2024/10/review-road-to-dalton-by-shannon-bowring...

Struggling with how to rate this book. It's centered around a breakup, told 90% from the male perspective and his rollercoaster journey of how he dealt w/it. The writing was great. The subject was largely uninteresting to me personally. I have read multiple books from the female perspective of a breakup, so it was nice to have this out there choosing to tell the story in a different way-I don't think most guys are as emotionally 'woke' as him🤷‍♀️
