I loved this book. It‘s bizarre and crazy in so many excellent ways. It‘s not just the fantastic and horrifying elements either. The relationships between all the girls and Ms. Welch and the headmistress hold a lot of layers. Especially if you look at this book in terms of how society treats teenage girls and young women, this book seems to hold so much just beneath the surface. #youngadult #RoryPower

The first act of this book has been great. The story reads like a cross between The Lord of the Flies and Jeff VanderMeer‘s Annihilation. I‘m really enjoying it a lot.
