Finished 3 out of 4 for the #Scallywagathon! Only prompt left to hit is 10: assessing the booty (recent haul). Fortunately my ipad is stocked with ARCs that I downloaded yesterday, so I will be picking one of those and trying to read it today

I love The Wayward Children series. They are fairytale retellings about children who have doors open to them to fantasy worlds. These worlds are not all fantasy at all, but are usually what the child needs at the time. What makes these novellas special is that Seanan McGuire is able to use these fantastical storylines to get at some deep truths about our lives. That‘s special.

At home sick today - I have a strange pain in my side, and I‘m not sure yet whether it‘s an ovarian cyst or my appendix, so I‘m basically waiting to see if I get any other symptoms or get better! In the meantime, I‘ve decided to participate in the tail end of the #Scallywagathon! This book is for prompt 4: low tide (less than 200 pages).
