I liked this a lot. It makes me want to up my improv game and have a baby all at the same time!

It was ok, the audiobook was good, liked the narrator. I feel like the mystery wasn‘t ‘mysterious‘ enough if that makes sense.

I had high hopes for this one but it‘s pretty much a YA version of River Solomon‘s The Deep and I thought that was just ok. I don‘t really have a desire to read it again so I‘m moving on.

I can‘t not love this book, it was more than a look at her life but an examination of sexism and jealousy.

Read this the first time in 2018 w a physical copy and I thought it was ok.
I either gave the book to my mom or donated it, so I rented the audiobook from the library and I liked it better this time!
I don‘t typically reread, but I watched the show, and it was awful. Such a jumbled pretentious mess that I HAD to reread. The book is miles better. (My opinion is the minority on the show)

Ooohh I liked this one a lot. There was a moment that was really triggering for me and I had to put it down for half a day, but i feel books should stir things in you, just take care of yourselves ❤️
A charismatic leader on a mission, a women looking for her sister on a private island resort, secrets being revealed. Yeah I liked it!

I love the cult and manipulative aspects to it but the ending, to me, felt kinda preachy almost… like “in case you didn‘t get it, this is what happened”

This is above so-so but below 🤘 I love the African lore and as much as I like the characters I felt there were too many for the story. The ending was too quick and convenient but leading up to that I really liked.

Such a struggle to get through. Yes I‘m out of the target age range but YA is no excuse for poor writing and storytelling. The pages long exposition dumps… c‘mon.

I like this one, it was creepy, atmospheric but predictable for someone used to these types of stories. Big Stephen King vibes, which I appreciate 😊 but if you think King is too wordy try Scott Carson! More to the point.

This is more of a so-so and a half, I did like it, where my problem is, is that it‘s supposed to be told from the perspective of Briseis. So when the perspective switched to Achilles I found it off putting. Especially since it happened pretty far into the book.

I can see why people don‘t like this type of writing style, but for me I really like this. A long letter, stream of consciousness, epistolary type of book.
It‘s also got themed of abuse, possession is a form of mental abuse and even the undead can be hurt.

Literally gasped at one point haha! Really been loving her books.

Funny, informative and a bit sad. This short account of her time in North Korea was a good read! I lived in S.Korea for 2 years so it‘s interesting to hear about the other side of the DMZ!

This doesn‘t get talked about enough. I loved this so much! Young love, a hero‘s journey, battle, family… so good.

This is between the Pick option and the So-So option. My first Colleen Hoover was supposed to be Verity, but it turned out I owned Codename Verity which is very different 🤣
So this one from KU it was! I liked it, though I would love an adult romance where they don‘t express their love after a week.

I really liked this one, so much happening all at once and I think the author did a great job balancing it all. I also liked how it ended.

I‘ve never read a Colleen Hoover book, where should I start?

This is a pre pandemic novella that is scarily similar to what is currently happening. The only critique I have is that I wanted more! I feel there‘s so much story left.

Ah! So good, no joke. The story is great, the couple is adorable and every lady deserves their own Olix. Don‘t settle for less ❤️

I‘m biased, I love these books so much. I‘ve said before and I‘ll keep saying it, I want kids just so I can read them these books!

I did like this, a subtle look at what the world will look like if we don‘t combat climate change, through the eyes of a woman working through her trauma.

I know I‘m not the target age range for YA but in my 30s this was ok. If I read it in my teens I‘d probably be ALL about it.

This was so cute. I think contemporary romance does a great job at being modern and using current pop culture and references in the most natural way. I didn‘t feel at all like “you‘re really forcing that reference!”

I am learning that I really love revenge stories. Specifically women‘s revenge. I flew through this one and absolutely loved it. Only criticism I have is the ending, the reason for all this to have started, was not what I would have chosen. But still loved it anyway!

I feel this book confirms other “It” like creatures or at least an adjacent species!!

Incredibly boring. I‘m sorry, the characters were not very bright, and events were excessively convenient. Just not for me. The writing is some of the most repetitive I‘ve ever seen, not only bored but annoyed.

This was a fun one! It did drag a bit in the middle and I would have liked to known more about the warring factions but it‘s crazy! And I loved it.

I finished book 10 of Ice Planet Barbarians and decided to start this series! I clearly love Ruby Dixon 😊

ALL the trigger warnings, for kids and adults. This was a difficult, yet fascinating read. I‘m so happy the author found the strength to tell her story.
I find cults fascinating and will read tell-alls and escape memoirs as often as I can.

I did really like this, wonderfully written and the audiobook narrator was great. I will say it is a bit overhyped so if you‘re looking to pick it up manage expectations.

At least she makes a decent page holder 😄

Woohoo! Another year in the books.

This was cute, sickly sweet at the end to the point I kinda wanted to gag lol. There is a level of “c‘mon, that would never happen” you have to ignore but it‘s a romcom and I think we‘re mostly pretty good at doing that. I love books w food in them and I was definitely in this one more for the food than the romance.

So cute, I keep picturing the dude as Adam Driver and that makes it even better 😍
