I liked this book. I am definitely entangled in the fast fashion craze. It was nice to be reminded that I can love my clothes and not just buy stuff to simply cover my body.

The book above is what I‘m currently reading. This year I am challenging myself to read only books I already own!
The only exceptions are audiobooks from my library app (which my BF thinks is cheating but c‘mon. I‘ve already listened to all the audiobooks I owned but 1!!)
And buying for my book review club.
Gotta thin out that bookshelf!!!
I did enjoy this book. It was ok. I heard so much hype around it and I thought I was really in for a creepy experience but that wasn‘t the case. Liked the concept but it reminded me of The Happening which made me giggle a bit.
If you‘re looking for a mind bending thriller this isn‘t it. But for a different take on the end of the world, cool.
Equal parts fascinating and squirmy!!
I feel so bad but I just didn‘t like it. I wish I did, I really tried. I wanted so badly to like this. The characters have little to zero growth... just “oh no I can‘t fall in love, oh I fell in love! But I can‘t! I can‘t float” rinse and repeat x3!
I was very annoyed by the end of it.
I like Hoffman‘s writing style though. And the audiobook narrator was great.
Friend Nathan and I just recorded the new Quarterly Book Club episode talking about The Bad Ass Librarians of Timbuktu by Joshua Hammer!
Episode will be available Sept 30!

This book was laugh out loud funny and the author is great at writing the interplay between characters. The only complaint I have is that it‘s a bit long. I like when an author lets a story breath but this could use a little tightening up. Other than that I loved it!
Have you ever fallen into the dreaded Reading Rut? I‘m currently in a slump and NOT for lack of material. I tend to just ride it out.
How do you get out of your rut?
A short audiobook. I liked the beginning, it was more what I was expecting. Then it took a turn to a bit preachy. While good information, I think authors should have more say (or any say) in who reads their book because she sounded a bit condescending to me. Great for another book but not this one.
