My Ninth House preorder gift arrived today😱 I cannot wait to devour this book as soon as it gets into my hands!
Currently finishing up my reread of The Raven King! 🦌
How‘s your Sunday going?
I am ready! I know the film was trash, but I have high hopes they did it justice with the show🤞🏻
I‘m currently rereading the Raven Cycle in prep for Call Down the Hawk. Apparently, so is Maggie. She‘s live tweeting her reread of the Dream Thieves today and I am even more terrified excited for CDtH now after this 👀
Happy book birthday to His Hideous Heart! I can‘t wait to dive into these retellings and compare to the original works. Bring on SP🎃🎃KY reads season!!
Officially completing my 2019 reading challenge on a reread, but it‘s one I truly adore! #goodreadschallenge

I love these books. Part retelling, part original tales, part short stories, part long narrative. Dark, gory, funny, exciting, immersive, awesome middle grade. 4⭐️
15/33 books read for #newtsreadathon2019
Completed my Astronomy course with Binti for an Outstanding grade.
For such a short novella, I feel like I need to think on it a bit to decide how I really feel about it & if I will be continuing on with the series. For now I‘m giving it 3⭐️
10/33 read for #newtsreadathon2019
E in Astronomy ✔️
4⭐️ to Midnight at the Electric. Part historical fiction, part science fiction, all enjoyable. #newtsreadathon2019
A for Muggle Studies ✔️
Took me til 2/3 of the way though to decide that I was actually liking this book, but I can‘t put my finger on what was so polarizing. That said, now that I‘ve finished I think it‘s a solid 3⭐️
7/33 read for #newtsreadathon2019
What an unexpected delightful surprise! I got this one in an owlcrate box ages ago and it‘s sat on my shelf forever. Decided to pick it up for my A in DADA and really enjoyed it. Adventure, pirates, sassy retorts. This was nothing mind-blowing, but it was a whole lot of fun (4⭐️). I will definitely be picking up the sequel.
4/33 books finished for #NEWTsReadathon2019
Finished this for my A in Arithmancy for #newtsreadathon2019. Book 3/33.
4⭐️ This dealt with some serious topics, and was quite heavy at time (made me choke up), but also had quite a bit of humor. Important story for sure that I really enjoyed. My one critique would be I wish the author & editor didn‘t allow the dialogue to swing back and forth between normal quotation marks and using colons, as I found it quite distracting.
And that‘s my A for Astronomy done! The Wicked Deep (3⭐️) #newtsreadathon2019
2/33 books finished
Came home to book mail today! Sooo pretty! Can‘t wait to dive back into this series again.
About half way through and loving this so far! I have a feeling this may be my favorite read for 2019 releases (so far). I even actually gasped aloud and scared the pup. So good! #currentlyreading
I don‘t even remember entering a contest for this! 😱
Lovely bookmark though! 🐍
Saturday night.
Started this one today. So sappy and lovesick for a Stiefvater novel, but I‘m still fun and engaging. I‘m very interested to see how I‘ll feel once I‘m finished.
One of my goals this year is to read my father‘s favorite series. So far, so good.
Why are most of my anticipated reads for 2019 still months away?!? (Don‘t care how) I WANT THEM NOW! Please. Pretty please?
#verucasalt #mostantcipatedreads2019
Why did I wait so long to start this series??? The hype is for good reason. I‘m obsessed.
What‘s the best way to spend a chilly, cloudy, rainy holiday weekend? If you answered with a book that pulls you in from the very first sentence, you‘d be correct!
My Book Outlet order actually arrived early this time! Happy #bookhaul day to me!!🤓📚
Redid my main shelves this week📚🐉
Charms (adult work) was my final read for #OWLsReadathon2019 and it ended on a high note! Loved this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall 11/12 classes past and 3,635 pages read. Can‘t wait for NEWTs to start!
Another day, another subject for #OWLsReadathon2019 complete! This one was a fun one.
What if you AREN‘T the Chosen One? Because sometimes there are problems bigger than this week‘s end of the world, and sometimes you just have to find the extraordinary in your ordinary life.
Defense Against the Dark Arts (title begins with “R”) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
#OWLsReadathon2019 that‘s History of Magic (published 10+ years ago) done. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
OWLs completed to date 9/12
I wanted to like this book so much more than I did. The first half dragged on and on, and definitely could have benefitted from some additional editing. The story picked up in the second half though, and by the end I was definitely invested in what happened to Bo and the rest of Berkshire Academy.
#OWLsReadathon2019: Muggle Studies (contemporary)
⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book has been on my shelves forever because I thought it was a fae story. I was wrong. It‘s a beautiful tale of love and family with a delightful addition of magical realism. I loved it.
#OWLsReadathon2019: Herbology (plants on cover)
I have birthday plans today which will cause me to be out for a good chunk of the day, but I‘m still planning on keeping up with my #OWLsReadathon2019 classes later with this one for Arithmancy (more than one author)
#OWLsReadathon2019: Care of Magical Creatures (land animal on the cover) complete. ⭐️⭐️.5
I wish the pages within were as stunning as the cover. For a novel under 300 pages the story seemed to drag on and repeat itself. I did enjoy the final few chapters of the book‘s climax, though I won‘t be picking up book 2.
Next up!
#OWLsReadathon2019: Transfiguration (sprayed edges or red cover)
