pickMy reading is all over the place these days—very hard to settle on something but I was really entertained by this story. Ken Kaneki is excited when a girl he likes asks him out. His excitement turns to horror when he discovers she‘s a ghoul & is mostly interested in eating him. 😬 And then he wakes up half human/ghoul & what that means will change everything for Ken. Dark manga at its best & an interesting take on the ghoul/zombie story.
pickNew lesson learned: when you have only about 5-10 minutes left to read in a book, then don't try to go to sleep without finishing it... My brain kept buzzing for AGES.
Volume 2 is a lot of fun, and I read it so fast. I really should order volume 4, since I'm sure I'll devour volume 3 as well...
Yep... this was the right choice for my mood. I've read two thirds of it already; saving the last part for right before bed, or maybe tomorrow. I only have one more volume already owned, so I might have to shake my book budget later to see if I can order volume four.
I still swear I'm not deliberately avoiding a #BookSpinBingo, but... I think if I can grab some time today, I'm going to start the second Apothecary Diaries light novel. I love Maomao and her scientific approach to the world so much.
My dude, that‘s a very big deal and def should be investigated… this poor kid, saddled with two bad parents on either end of the spectrum (one way too hands on and the other way too hands off).
This manga is creepy and unsettling and I‘m basically bingeing it as fast as I can get from library. Probably should be worried about that fact - but zero regrets here. 😬😳😂

Been really enjoying this series! And the anime too! Volume 9 ends pretty much where I‘m at in terms of the anime. Can‘t wait to read volumes 10-12 that I just got from the Crunchyroll sale 👍🏼 This is another series that I recommend 😊

The two work at a travel agency and may be transferred to a branch in Russia! So, they decide to fake an engagement to avoid it.
The anime version was pretty funny and cute. In it, the new branch would be in Alaska rather than Russia. This change must‘ve been for better optics 😆
Still, I enjoyed the anime story enough to add the manga collection as well 👍🏼

In this volume, not only do we get to see more about the mysterious organization following Coco‘s every move, but we see the way colored inks enhance magic. I enjoyed meeting a character figuring out how his vision differences can fit with the work he does. #Magic #Manga
pickNot surprisingly, this is continues to be a beautiful and charming manga. This volume continues to lay the groundwork to draw readers into the intriguing shadowy magic organization and make us root for Coco and friends as they learn the secret ways of magic. I had a good feeling about this series and I‘m happy that I enjoyed the first volume. I love our MFC and the male lead is psychotic in an entertaining way. I do wish they aged the characters up just a little bit for the dynamics of the story but that might just be a cultural difference. This has definitely caught my attention enough to want to keep reading the rest of the series.
