I absolutely loved this book when I first read it in school so it is definitely an #OldFavorite. Yes, I was that weird kid that actually loved most of the books made to read in school 🤷🏻‍♀️ lol

I unfortunately don't own a copy though. But I am going to get that beautiful 50th anniversary edition if it's the last thing I do! 🙋🏻‍♀️😄

IheartYA My daughter had to read it over the summer. She didn't like it but I think that's because I told her I liked it before she started reading it. Next time Ibwill keep my mouth shut lol. 6y

Rereading a classic for #book30!
I‘ve kicked myself off of all mainstream social media and have been reading ever since. I started January 29th, and have challenged myself to get back to things that mattered like reading. So far, I‘ve finished 29 incredible and beautiful books. I‘ve always wanted to reread The Outsiders as an adult. Now I am! #staygoldponyboy

McFarchie It's the 50th anniversary this year and it hasn't dated. I just read it again after 35 years. It is brilliant. My head explodes when I try to wrap my mind around that Hinton was a teenager when she write it! 7y

Most recent read for school! This was the first read for my family. Not sure how many times I've read it. I can't believe this book is 50 years old!

This one just gets me with every read. I think one major takeaway here is that this book stands the test of time: the issues concerning Ponyboy and the others could be the same if this book was set in 2016 or 2017.

We also watched the movie. I cried, obviously. 🤷🏻‍♀️
