Work is so stressful that I‘m listening to all the David Baldacci thrillers I can borrow from my library‘s Libby collection. They‘re a good escape- they keep my attention but don‘t require too much thought. I like the non stop action and relatively happy endings 💚🐉

It's been awhile since I've read about the Camel club. I realized I've missed them a bit. Oliver Stone is a wonderful character. The story was really good. You can always count on David Baldacci. 😊

Booknerd2 Agreed! Love him!! I wish he would write another Camel Club. 4y

Last book in The Camel Club series. Oliver Stone is asked to track down the source of a terrorist attack. A bomb explodes in Lafayette Park in front of the White House and Stone is given an urgent assignment: find those responsible. British MI-6 agent Mary Chapman becomes his partner. Stone enlists the help of the Camel Club. Start with book 1 entitled The Camel Club. The whole series is entertaining and exciting and I highly recommend reading it.

bookaholic1 I'm reading this after I finish reading the book I'm reading...what a coincidence....lol 5y
EadieB @bookaholic1 Our reading group on LibraryThing is probably going to start the John Puller series next. We love Baldacci! 5y

Belated report on totals for end of day 7 of the #JoysofJune Readathon.

A rare day where I read just from one book, although I did finish it. Altogether read 215 pages yesterday and finished one book.

Overall totals :

2216 / 3000 pages read, need to read 392 each of the last two days to hit the goal.

6 / 7 books finished

0/2 #NordicNoir books read. Such big books only likely to finish one before the end of the Readathon.

TheEllieMo Wait, what? There‘s been a readathon? I totally missed that 😫 5y
Andrew65 @TheEllieMo Yes running from 13th - 21st June. Will tag you in the next one. 😊 5y
TheEllieMo @Andrew65 aww, thanks. I‘ve not had much time to scroll recently so I‘ve missed a few things 🙄 5y

The schedule for the Group Read I am leading on Librarything over the next week, this is Book 5 in the Camel Club Series . This really is an excellent series which only gets better as the series progresses, a shame this is the last book in the series.

Will be reading this during the #JoysofJune #Readathon

EadieB @Andrew65 Thanks for the schedule! Looking forward to this one! There is a short story that he wrote in 2014 where Will Robie meets up with Oliver Stone. We call these novellas “extra income!” 5y
Andrew65 Yes I‘ve noticed that one and will have to see if we can get hold of it. Think it is only available in ebook format. 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 Yes! it is $2.99 and only available in ebook. Not sure it's worth it. 5y

Andrew65 @EadieB The price of these novellas and short stories sometimes amaze me! (edited) 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 It is crazy! They put out full novels and put them on sale for $.99 and then charge $2.99 for a short story. Does not make sense! 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB It‘s absolutely crazy! Surely earning enough from his books to offers these free if purchase another one of his books. (edited) 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 There cannot be much happening in these short stories. It‘s just two characters from two series meeting up. Who cares! Stupid! 5y

Oliver Stone, also known as John Carr, is on the run after killing 2 men who destroyed Stone‘s life in the past. Master spy, Macklin Hayes, wants Stone dead. The members of The Camel Club risk everything to save him. They find Stone hiding in a coal-mining town of Divine VA which has secrets of its own. Lots of action makes for a fast-paced read and hard-to-put-down thriller! Looking forward to the last book in the series! Great series!

Another great book in the wonderful Camel Club Series by David Baldacci. This book has it all, mystery, great characters, excellent interaction and dialogue between characters, fantastic plot, twists, in fact it is just a great book! I can not recommend this series highly enough and each book just seems to get better than the previous book, and I like how the storyline is developed in the next book. Want a great book then pick up this series. ❤️
